The resort needs love and care. Looks pretty outdated. The rooms are spacious, there is a fridge and a TV only in Thai. The plugs are bad and I had to sellotape my charger on the wall. The toilet was not clean which is pretty basic. It looked like we took them by surprised when we arrived and one of the staff went to flush the toilet but that doesn't clean the rest. If you're an animal lover you wil not be pleased with the view on the street. 4 dogs mistreated and skeletic. 2 of them in front of the resort. Overall not a bad stay but the resorts seems sad and 600BHT for one room was too expensive.
The room in here is so clean and spacious. Enjoy every night when I stay in here. Disadvantages was it situated 2 km from Satun town and weak connection wifi when you stay at your room. The staff very friendly and it have nice environment around, even the place situated in hiding location.
Rooms are clean and spacious. Location is a bit difficult to locate even on gps. Its location is a narrow lane off the main road and the reort signboard is a bit hidden. Parking space is good and its not far away from Big C shopping area. Wifi has very weak signals and could hardly connect even next to its office.
At first we have trouble finding this resort as it was tucked away from main road and the signboard is pretty small too. We do have some communication problem as the staffs speak limited English, but they tried their best to help us. They even gave us recommendation on place to visit at Satun. Price-wise, for us it is pretty affordable. The room itself is very big, with huge bathroom. There is TV in room but most channel is in Thai language. However we were bit bothered with strong foul smell coming out from bathroom, probably from sewer or bathroom drainage. Thus it is wise to close your bathroom door before it went nasty. It was easy to shop as Lomlay located near the town and it is advisable to drive at Satun rather than using public transport. Overall it was a nice stay!
We stayed here total 3/2 nights in between a week when we traveled to Hat Yai. We took songthew from jetty to Lomlay cost THB400 for 8ppl. The room is big, clean and comfortable. The price is cheap. The owner is very helpful and friendly.
My girlfriend and I stayed here while travelling between Langkawi to Krabi. Lomlay is 2km north of Satun and although we only drove through it this isn't too much of an issue as there isn't much for tourists here. It cost us 300THB for a private taxi right from the port and 150THB to get to the bus station the next day. The staff were lovely (although they couldn't speak too much English but we were still able to ask questions and find out how to get the public bus on to Krabi). The room has a massive bed, is pretty modern being only recently renovated with good air con and WiFi. There is also a big supermarket about 5 - 10 mins away for picking up any necessary supplies and/or lunch from a cheap food court. Perfect for an overnight stay if you wanna a slightly less stressful crossing between Thailand and Malaysia.…
Room. Took the bigger room that cost 1000baht per night. The room is right in front of reception so Wifi connection is superb. Compare to our last year visit. There's mini fridge. Eventhough we have to request for extra pillow and blanket which we pay for it. 😁
We had no trouble finding the place at all. The hotel is not located along the main road. From the main road, look out for Klongkud Soi 9. If you're heading from Malaysia or Hatyai using the 706 or 4184, it's on the right side of the road. Once you see Big C Shopping Centre on your right, it's just a few hundred metres away. Location was good enough for us. Ample parking space. Restaurant at the entrance of the street had good breakfast and lunch. Local food at local prices. Rooms in Lomlay were spacious and clean. Bathroom was pleasant and had good powerful hot shower. View from our room was some greenery and a village house. Lady at the reception was very helpful and friendly and spoke English. No complaints here except for the WiFi and lines were down during our stay. Just get a local SIM with Internet and you'll be fine. If you're using a credit card, it's good to prepay to avoid any problems. Value for money accommodation.…
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the lovely resort. For 550baht, it was really pretty with WiFi, flat screen TV, hot shower, cold A/C, a lovely staff, clean, the list goes on. There may be some communication problems with the staff as I think not a lot of tourists come to this part of the world. She was as helpful and friendly as possible. This place exceeded my expectations. There were rows of good Thai restaurants nearby too. Basically, you can walk around the whole town area. The bus stop for buses to Hat Yai (which departs from Tesco) is also nearby Lomlay Resort and just a walking distance away.
Well, with this place, I definitely comprovate that now everyone call "Resort" for everything. Anyway, this hotel is quite good and very reasonable price, 2.200 Bths / 70 US$ for 4 nights, need to say that we make the booking by "Booking.com" The Hotel: The rooms are bungalows around a car way in "U" form where the ends are the entrance and exit. There is not Hotel Lobby, just one of the Bungalows made in small reception, but they will help you in everything you need, or at least they will try it. No restaurant service, even a small bar, so they don't offer any F&B service. Anyway, looks good and a bit away of the town and main roads. The Rooms: Big and spacious room with King size bed. Modern and simple decoration, and no so good, but enough maintenance. Cable TV, but no international channels, luckily you can find an English channel. No minibar, but free mineral water. Free WiFi in rooms, but no constant. The bathroom is just ok. Good water pressure and water heater. I totally recommend this hotel. Perfect for renewing your Malaysian tourist visa, or for transit Lankawi-Thailand.…
