My Wife and I love Sangkhla Buri, and we love the Phu Chom Mork too. This hotel is the same, or less in price than others we have inspected (Kingfisher, Magmai, etc.), and better too. The location is quieter, parking is easy (no small thing around here!) the layout is broad and open, while the rooms form an intimate courtyard of sorts. The trees have not quite grown in to proportionate size, as the place is relatively new, but one day soon it will be a shady retreat, thanks to great design and landscaping. The rooms are big, clean, bright, with great bathrooms, and great wifi. The staff is accommodating and up beat, full of information, ready to upgrade whenever they can, and just plain happy to work there. Food is top notch too. in the right seasons, you even get mist in the morning, a hit from your spacious balcony or patio. There is an enormous parking lot, which night forecast busses, but Sangkhla Buri is not a tourist bus town yet, and in any case the main parking lot is a ways from the rooms, with mini lots nearer. We parked right next to the room and had a lovely time. Highly recommended versus other options…
Normal and new hotel in Sangklaburi Kanchanaburi about 3.30 hours from Kanchanaburi city , this hotel about 1 Km from Mon bridge the signature of Sangkla buri , now February 2018 is renovating that why resort not beautiful
The hotel is in an ordinary road with no views as the name suggest in Thai language. Check in was smooth and they upgraded us as they had some free rooms still available. The rooms are big but lack any special attention. However for this price range (about 35US$ / room / night with ABF) it is good bargain. Staff smiling but not very knowledgeable about the area. INTERNET does NOT WORK!!!!!! Breakfast is great value... Check-out at 11AM is way too much early.
This is a brand new hotel, well-designed and with an enthusiastic management. It’s probably the best place to stay at the moment in Sangkhla. It’s not in an interesting or pretty location, but they’re doing their best to improve the large grounds, and once the trees and shrubs have grown a bit more (it doesn’t take long in Thailand) it will feel more welcoming. The rooms are well above average for this area with nice balconies, but they would be more pleasant with one or two comfortable armchairs. The water system needs work; only cold water most of the time, but scalding hot on a sunny afternoon because the storage tanks are uninsulated. It seems that at the weekends the hotel is full (with Thai tourists) and the breakfasts are very good then; on weekdays when the hotel is nearly empty, they’re mediocre at best. (NB The name is sometimes spelled Poochommhok in English-language sites.)…
We were only in Sangkhla Buri for one night and this hotel was a real find. The room we had was lovely, beautifully decorated, very clean and with a little veranda on which we could sit out when the heat of the day started cooling down. The owners were very friendly and helpful, they even asked if there was anything specific we would like for breakfast the evening before and then went out and bought some additional fruit. Breakfast was very sufficient and at least two of the family speak English and spent time chatting with us, answering our questions about the town and its history. It is not on the tourist trail but is well worth a visit and we would highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel.
