This resort has a really beautiful location, with good snorkelling in the lagoon right in front of the cottages. We stayed in the family beachfront house and one of the seafront bungalows. Both are very standard. The family room was in better condition than the seafront bungalow and was perfectly clean and comfortable. The seafront bungalow has a nice setting...

This resort lets itself down big time.the room has no fridge the bed is so uncomfortable.the windows had louvres missing so when it rains the water comes in .the staff are not friendly at all.we came back at 9.30 at night and all the lights were all off in the foyer and no lighting down the very steep stairs. When we...

The views are great for what it is. The bay itself isn't the best. It's a very shallow lagoon that when you walk in the sand the mud smells but if you stay at a great place its not so bad. The staff are very unhelpful and hardly present. The rooms are run down and need a make over. The...

I realise the 700baht is actually only about £14 and so is considerably cheaper than anything in the UK, however speaking comparatively for thailand, this is more expensive and I ended up going here as it was all I could find online and I had the intention to stay just for a few nights and find somewhere closer to the...

If you want a fancy hotel with all the bells and whistles then this isn't really the place for you. If you want to relax with stunning views then this is the place for you!!! We stayed in one of the most expensive rooms they had but it was still nothing special. The rooms were very simple; our room didn't...

Let me start by saying that you would be hard pressed to stay in such an amazing location in most parts of the world. This resort consists of little bungalows that are glued to the rocky outcrops that form the south-western point of Koh Tao. We stayed in the very last one, which was up a flight of stairs that...

My boyfriend and I stayed here one night as had had enough at looking at different places on Ko Tao. We stayed in a clean, nice but basic bungalow for 1000 baht (£22) for one night. This was our most expensive accommodation throughout out trip and by no means the nicest. The cheaper bungalow at 700 baht (£15) we looked...

There is one reason and only one reason to stay here, but it is a good one: the location. Freedom Beach and its sister resort, Taatoh (which is where I stayed) have three private beaches with gorgeous white sand, clear blue water, and a ridiculously perfect sunset view. So despite all the cons (of which there are many) I would...

If you are looking for a 5 star resort this is not it. If you want a superb location, excellent bungalow overlooking a beautiful bay and opportunities for sunsets, this is it. Yes, there may be some insects and the walk to the room is long, but this is the tropics. If you want a 5 star resort hotel stay...
