i´ve been there in august with 3 friends and we were very discontendend with this bungalows. the bathroom is very dirty and the shower isn´t really working (you can decide rather to have cold or hot water). the staff at the restaurant is not really working, they forget many things to bring or to cook and you have to fight... The staff are not at all your typical friendly Thai hosts, and seemed bothered by any questions we had. We stayed in an air conditioned room which honestly had not been cleaned for a very long time, very old and dirty, simply unpleasant. The bathroom was disgusting, full of dead bugs and the drains smelt awful. The bed was not... More

Having lived on Koh Tao for 3 years I visited Blue wind restaurant maybe once a week, the view is great and they let my dog hang out there, I have always been frustrated by the lack of service here but put it down to the Burmese being scared of my dog. I used to go get my own menu... More

Blue wind restaurant is on the beach, but a bit a way of the crowd and therefore peacefull and quiet. The food is good. A lot of choise in little vegetarian dishes like vegetables with very tastefull dips, and great tempura. All for very friendly prices. The non vegetarian dishes also looked very nice. Good value for price and bit... More

This place is right on the beach, so is absolutely prime location with breathtaking views. The bungalows are extremely basic, cold showers, a rickety fan and sticky floorboards. If you are not fussed, these bungalows are absolutely fine and provide basic necessities for a few days but cannot imagine staying here for longer than a few days! The staff aren'... More

Stayed here after reading about it in the Lonely planet. We where quite new to backpacking we choose to stay in the 450 a night rooms. The bed was comfy and bedding clean. However our mosi net was full of holes and bathroom not great. However very close to the beach and not to noisy. Reception staff are miserable but... More

We had a good experience here, the place is amazing. Some 50 meters from the beach and another 50 from the small town with the stores and the pubs. The bungalows have everything you need but if you have a problem with the weather I'd suggest the AC room as it gets really hot during the day if you're planning... More

I have pretty mixed feelings about this place. The pros: it's on the beach which is always nice and the prices are pretty decent for that. The food was pretty good at the restaurant and among some of the better prices we've seen on the island. If you're into yoga there's a yoga studio with classes run throughout the day... More

Need to change those mattresses when they get this bloody Ey ! Staff aren't the friendliest. At least in reception and the restaurant. Food was good and fair prices. But good lord that bed smelled terrible and looked even worse. Aside from that it was moderately comfortable.

As everyone else has said, staff is terrible and rude. Stayed one night. Room was musty, damp, and blazing hot even with a fan. No WiFi unless at the restaurant which was okay, but nothing special. The beach is the best and only good part. The door didn't even close properly. Bugs in the room. Holes in the net. Suspicious... More
