Our stay was super disappointing thanks to these pests everywhere. The house flies were intolerable. Not one meal can we eaten without a dozen of house flies. Our entire family fell sick and ruined our holiday. The moment food arrives on the table over a of dozen house flies sit on the food and you. The resorts lack of effort to control this is very disappointing. I would not go back!
We hesitated to go to Koh Phi Phi because it was said to be so crazy busy and touristy, but staying at the Paradise Resort made Phi Phi a really nice stop on our trip through South-East Thailand. After arrival at the pier in Koh Phi Phi, take a longtail boat to ‘Long beach’ and you’ll arrive right at the resort. 100bath per person is a good price. Paradise resort is situated right at a very pretty beach. We stayed in a standard bungalow with 2 beds, and it was very nice: simple, but clean and the bed was nicely firm. The bathroom is very basic but clean. The resort is right at the beach and the breakfast really nice. We also had a massage, that’s a must! We also rented a private longtail boat to go to Maya beach and did some snorkeling at the Pi Leh Bay. In short: even if you don’t like the crazy partying and want to have a nice island vibe, you can find that at Koh Phi Phi.…
Our stay at Paradise Resort Phi Phi was a mixed bag. Firstly room was clean spacious, with plenty of extra seating and terrace. We had a beach front villa with outdoor shower. We thought this would be a novel addition the room as we had never had one before. However not only is the shower outdoors but most of the bathroom and wardrobe are also int eh same area and therefore inject to weather conditions. Although under a roof, if it rains your clothes feel damp (and warm!). Also the door to the bathroom locks from the bathroom side, but not from the bedroom side so you sleep with an unlocked door to the outside… albeit behind a 10ft wall. During our stay, although there is a bar and restaurant on site, however this closed as 5pm (as at 01.09.2022) and we had to use one of the hotels at either end of the beach for dinner/drinks or get a long tail into town. One end of the beach closed at 9pm and the other closed at 10pm. We do appreciate this may have been due to a quiet period or following COVID, however this information should have been publicised before booking! Also, on-site massage was not available at resort but facilities were available and easy to book at adjacent resort. As per most resorts in Thailand beds are super hard. The staff here are all very nice and polite and nothing has been too much trouble - so thank you! So all things considered, if you would like more of the night life on Phi Phi you won’t find it here. However Beach is quiet for relaxing during the day, and nightlife is only 150bht taxi boat away.…
I was happy to have had an enjoyable stay for 3 nights after reading some poor reviews but I didn’t experience anything I read about poor service, uncleanliness, etc. I will agree the prices at the resort are higher than all surrounding areas but I just didn’t eat there and went elsewhere down the beach which was quite reasonable. Same for massage prices. The resort was clean, everyone I dealt with gave a smile and good service. I give a shout out to the waiter who found my hat I left in the restaurant and recognized me later in the day and showed me where he’d put it aside in the restaurant for me to find. The beach was clean, always found a lounger to sit in. Pool areas had few chairs but I’m more of a beach person so no worries. Breakfast was a good selection of western and Asian dishes. I went diving with Black Tip diving located right on resort (very convenient) and had a good experience with them. About $114 Canadian for 2 dives. Lucky that my room was close to the beach one level up behind reception. A little bit of view to beach through trees, nice and private and not a long walk up the hill. It was perfect to decompress after touring for a month in south east Asia. I would go again. Yes, higher price than other places around but beautifully landscaped and tranquil surroundings. It was a little piece of paradise needed. …
We stayed in the beach front bungalows which were sub standard given the price we paid. Uncomfortable beds, average AC, showers either piping hot or cold, basic decorating required and the majority of staff were unfriendly and on one occasion extremely rude. For the price we were expecting high quality accommodation but what we got was a below average bungalow. On the plus side the view is great and the buffet breakfast was good, but for the money there are surely far better options on Long Beach.
We stayed here in feb 2020. Upon arrival the staff seemed very kind. We ate at the restaurant and the staff are sooo rude. Unbelievable!! Ladies need to learn some manners. Forget the language barrier manners cost nothing
Great location. Great views. Stunningly clear water to swim in. You couldn't ask for a better location to relax in. The accommodation was well presented and clean, with daily housekeeping. I did choose one of the more expensive ocean view villas. The staff were great - always friendly, helpful and good to take care of guests. With so many foreigners, they were exceptionally patient too. The food was mainly foreigner based. Any Thai food on the menu was 'watered down' versions of authentic Thai dishes - I found them lacking in flavour but they're probably OK for tourists. I normally like to mix with the country's people when I'm on holiday. Sadly this isn't the case around Phi Phi Island except for the staff. My girlfriend was the only other Thai person I saw which was kinda sad that Thai's can't afford to visit the area. If you're a tourist, this is a nice place to stop and relax. If you're an ex-pat, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.…
Extremely rude tone of talking. Everytime you have to ask something, girls at reception talk like its a bother for them. They yell everything, if I talk about prices for trips, fees for masks or snorkeling. Rooms are crawling with bugs and if you want to call reception, they don't have intercoms. You have to walk to the reception. Very small bathrooms. Location is nice. Right in front of the beach.
While this "resort" has many faults, the view from our ocean front bungalow was perfection. This is a small hotel with only 36 rooms but it is relaxed and simply has gorgeous sea and island views. The service here is lacking and many were unfriendly. Communication was many times difficult here but they sure knew how to scold you if you forget to take your sandals off when entering the breakfast buffet. Also they only give you one key, needed to keep the electricity and air conditioning on in your room. We ate dinner here once in the 7 nights we stayed here and that was the first night. It was awful. We had a few lunches also and they too were substandard. I highly recommend walking down the paved beach path to Paradise Pearl Resort, where we ate all of our other dinners. Breakfast was usually cold and not very good. They do have a made to order egg station outside but it is not in plan view, this is about the only items you will have that is hot. Also the food is just not good in my opinion. The views and setting of the outdoor restaurant were very nice but no air conditioning or fan cooled areas were provided, if there was no breeze it was miserable to eat outside. This location is a quick water taxi (longtail boat) ride to Tonsai. I much preferred Long Beach where the Paradise Resort is to Tonsai but it is an option for other restaurant choices. You can walk into Tonsai but I do not recommend it, you have to hike up a hill in the heat and humidity and then down the other side. I did go up the hill to find the view point and I was exhausted and sweaty, if you want to experience Tonsai then take the water taxi. Water Taxi: 100 Baht per person during the day and 150 Baht per person in the evening, if you do not go at the scheduled times then you need a minimum of two people or if singe pay double. I do recommend staying at Paradise Resort, just do not expect great service and avoid eating lunch and dinner there. Breakfast you can find several things to eat that are good enough to hold you over until lunch. There is no pool on this property but the views are worth not having it and the water is good to swim in at high tide.…
The hotel is located right on the beach and has a cozy restaurant. The restaurant is affordable considering that you are on the phi phi islands. The rooms are large and tidy but it gets some sand as you lie and enjoy the beach all day. The hotel offers massages and free pick-up and drop off from the port. There are no roads on the island so you have to go somewhere so it takes to take a boat and it costs 100 to get into the village. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety. The view from the breakfast terrace was amazing. For a short stay, would highly recommend.
