Staying at the Sanctuary was a great experience. When we arrived there was no place available except for the dorm where we stayed for one night. After that the personnel of the Sanctuary had, also, affordable rooms to house us in. The food is AMAZING at the Sanctuary. There is so much healthy and tasteful food. And my girlfriend and...

I had heard great things from friends about the Sanctuary, and it lived up my high expectations! Wonderful yoga, effective healers, value for money. I met some new friends who I believe I will stay in touch with long term. Great combination of healthy atmosphere and festivities (like movie nights and weekend parties nearby). The staff are super helpful, kind...

Hello Ssfitzgerald This is wonderful, again the power of word of mouth, so pleased you listened to your friends travel advice! Great that you made new lasting friendships. Super that you enjoyed the balance of a healthy lifestyle practice, with a little bit of extra fun thrown in for good measure. Looking forward to welcoming you here again very soon!...

I was here for a week & did the 31/2 day 5 nights cleanse package which is good value as it includes all your detox shakes and supplements, a pre and post cleanse meal, 4 colonics and voucher cards for a choice a treatments from massage to Chinese medicine to Reiki. The wellness centre staff are caring and organized and...

Hi Helen Brilliant, really pleased you enjoyed your cleanse with us. We are really proud of our staff who have taken to our newly redeveloped 'Wellness Centre' with aplomb. Also very pleased you enjoyed all the facilities we have on offer, so its not just a cleanse - its a holiday too ! Hoping to welcome you here again someday...

This place is fantastic, a very special place. I've been there for many years and I still love it. Great yoga teachers, the food is delicious, they pay a lot of attention on details. The Thai staff is amazing, they soon become good friends and they make you feel a special guest. I'm looking forward to coming back as soon as...

Thailand has often been described as the "Land of Smiles", but here, the employees seem tentative, sullen and even intimidated. Not a good vibe. I often fear resorts which put every purchase on the room, with a receipt for each purchase. The surprise comes at checkout.

Thanks for your visit though im unsure of what moment you found our staff. Most have been with us for 10 + years , they love their jobs, love meeting our guests and love living in their home. At Sanctuary one has the option to pay as you go, or put on your room tab - best fo both worlds....

This place is just amazing, I've been coming here since 2004, with good and bad experience. The bad experiences only came from fully booked resort, or let's say 'incompatible' yoga teachers or fasting 'experts'. But the resort in itself was always fabulous, lovely bungalows and houses, nicely displayed in the nature. Connection with nature, that was always about that, except...

If you like to hang around white people, especially of the older, bearded and undeserved kind, this is your place. Don't ever estimate how many lucky sperms populate this earth. Too groovy, for sure. It's a A little to precious, with sketchy internet and tasteless hippie food. The yoga is typical, euro/American expat type and not for serious yogis. Massage...

Hi and thanks for your review. We are glad you like our setting and style , though, to be honest I'm unsure of what you mean in some places of your review . With over 70 % of our guest being (un-bearded) females discovering yoga or enjoying a holiday practice , we feel to have a great balance on offer....

This was my third trip to the Sanctuary, and there will be a fourth, a fifth, and yes probably a sixth and that's only my plan for this year (ha, I wish) :) Surprised to read reviews calling the place overly commercial, yes, it is a business, and it's not the most budget place you can go, but you get...

Difficult to know how many stars to award The Sanctuary as whether it works or not for you depends on the person you are and what you are looking for. I had previously stayed at two other Wellness Centres in Thailand (on three occasions) and, for me personally, this centre fell way short of my other experiences. Firstly, the name...

Hi Ukmaletraveler, It’s a very interesting experience you paint, staying here in our busiest season which is also in the height of festivities (the Christmas, New year holiday is often a time for celebration, rather than meditation) It can be fraught, with that, the weather wasn’t too kind to us this year, making it rather difficult for folk to get...

We've been settling into hippy havens for for some time now but found the vibe here a bit too contrived... Perhaps the magic that former guests speak of has dissipated under the weight of yoga groups that descend on the sanctuary to align their Chakras or open Stargate portals or explore their yoni or get teacher certifications, that's all very...

Hello Monsoonrain (how apt) Thanks for a view of the Sanctuary guests through your portal. Interesting to say the least . The Sanctuary opened in 1991 and has been a vegetarian/ seafood restaurant since then . No dictate here, more a choice. We try to offer a great range of raw, vegan, vegetarian and seafood meals. Our menu is applauded...
