The rooms are quite small. No more than 2 people could fit comfortably. They are clean though and all you need I think. They also have a nice wooden design and carvings. The view to the beach was nice but I don't think it's the best for swimming and laying out on. The staff are very friendly and helped right...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Wattana during the full moon party. We paid 400B/night for the small classic chalet with a view of the beach. The chalet was clean although the bathroom does need a refit but it was fine for us. Chakolum Bay is beautiful we enjoyed lazing in the shallow waters amongst the long tail boats. It's...

Lovely huts and beautiful beach. Location wasn't ideal as it was about 40 minutes from Haad Rin (Full moon party). Also quite expensive, so not ideal for backpackers on a tight budget. Would recommend the cheaper dorms in the town for young, backpacking travellers.

We stayed in a beach fronted bungalow. It is all really basic but ok for the price. However we thought the bathroom could be better: the water tab of the basin was not stable and moving whenever we opened and closed it; the mirror above the water basin had not been cleaned for a long time; in the shower there...

Lots of pros and cons about the Wattana. Stayed here for a week over New Year into 2014 with wife and 2 kids (9 & 12). Stayed in large room with 2 double beds in front of the beach 30m away. PROS- really quiet, good food at reasonahle prices, served very quickly wih a smile, good room service, changed mattress...

We stayed for just a few nights in this serene and beautiful location. The family that runs it are lovely...truly helpful and friendly, and the food was excellent and well priced. And while the villas are quiet and comfortable on a beautiful beach, the bathrooms are in need of some serious renovations. The unfortunate part is that they are priced...

I was very interested in the past two reviews, I have nothing but praise for Wattana, the food is excellent, the place is tranquil, the family that own it are friendly and helpful, the bungalows are clean and comfortable. I notice that both of these reviews are by people living in the USA. I suggest to them for their next...

The first impression of this place was a ramshackle office with untidy junk clustered around it. This is actually the back of the reception area, but it's what you see when you arrive over land. The bungalows are scattered around, and there's minimal landscaping. It's at the Western end of Cholaklum bay. For those seeking solitude and complete peace, and...

We just returned from this place. The rooms were small, not very clean but quiet. Bathrooms were disgusting but wasn't expecting more for the price. But.... We rented a motorbike from them on our first day (only way to get around the island). Our big mistake was giving up our passport as a "deposit" but they insisted. When we returned...

“I recommend to go about 1 km Ao Chaloklum Bay where you can lay on romantic white beach and buy some food during the stay.”

“most first and 2nd row bungalows have sea view, Get A/C room.”
 of 5 bubbles bryan_m11, 27 Jan 2016 | Read review
“As I said, if you need a very cold room to sleep, choose a better cabin with AC. If you are okay not having a frigid room, you probably will not need the A/C. If you get better than the cheapest bungalow, you will have more outlets, but none are 3-prong compatible so bring an adapter and a surge protector.”

“Get a room with windows you can open to avoid the damp”
 of 5 bubbles Coogeefamilyof4, 6 Jan 2014 | Read review
“If there is a modern bungalow available, opt for that and pay the extra. And if you're paying only for a classic A/C bungalow, request one of the seafront ones as they're all in the same category and you're paying the same even if stuck in behind.....Also make sure the hot water is working if you're paying for it.”
