Great place with private beach. Beach can be quite messy on the low tide tho. Food was ok and staff friendly and welcoming. Well worth the price. Shops and restaurants 10 min walk or get a scooter if you want to go further north or South (25min either way).

The beds are unconfortable, so are the bungalows: very basic, asbest made and not cosy. We didn't have warm water. The staff smiles to you and are making grimaces in your back if you don't book services This place was a big disappointment!

The entire long strech of the beach fronting his resort was thickly covered with sharp bits and pieces of coral and shell making it impossible to stroll let alone sitting on it . Swimming in the sea , I discovered also was dangerous because there were under-water sharp rock and boulders everywhere . I myself found out the hard way getting cut just trying to swim in the shallow water . Please examine the accompanied pictures. The bathroom in my bungalow was strongly permeated with raw sewage oder which was made worse by the very poor ventilation. There was an obvious chronic septic tank or structural drainage problem that have never been corrected. Lastly, the owner himself became quite angry when a minor problem was brought up. His confrontational and irresponsible reaction was rather unprofessional .

Lanta Fa Rung is right in the middle of Klong Khong Beach, so it's perfectly located. Though the beach is quite rocky at low tide there are a few spots to go for a swim. At high tide swimming is no problem. The bungalow area is very well kept and all the staff is very friendly. Bungalows were in good condition on the inside as well. The beds are quite hard though as they tend to be in Thailand. The toilets are "outside" of the rooms but have walls and a roof so no worries. If you're allergic to loud music you should take a bungalow a bit away from the beach as the hotel's beach bar plays it at high volumes until late in the night. For us this was no issue although we had the first bungalow closest to the bar, but we're good sleepers. Francesco and his family took good care of us during our stay and gave us lots of tips on where to go and what to see. We also rented a scooter from the hotel for a fair price. We'd definitely visit again!

We spend three nights and enjoyed the place, even though in room facilities are quite basic. Property faces the beach which is still relatively quiet. It is a good base to explore island and get out for snorkeling around the nearby islands. Owner and staff were helpful.
