Pimalai in Koh Lanta is a resort that lives up to the hype. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights during our honeymoon. The property is stunning, masterfully built into the hillside overlooking a picture perfect beach. Unlike many other resorts in Thailand, the beach is private to the few hotels and low key beach bars. The staff is... More

We stayed 6 nights is this wonderful resort. The experience is magical from the very moment you arrive in the resorts bay on the private jetty of the hotel. The service is exceptional by every single member of the staff. We cannot think of a better and more relaxing holiday: several dining options, diving, activities, beautiful swimming pools... we cannot... More

Stayed at Pimalai for just 2 nights as a short break off work. That was a great decision. Beautifully appointed beach villa with view to die for, and soft sound of the waves to relax you. Excellent dinner at the seafood restaurant. Above all the staff we interacted with was extremely helpful and polite, from the gardener to the management.

This has to go down as the best hotel we've ever stayed in, absolutely beautiful setting and surroundings. Staff are incredibly helpful and take time out for you all the time. Breakfast was stunning each morning and the pools and beach are superb. I cannot recommend this hotel enough if you're considering staying in Thailand, I really hope we can... More

Absolutely wonderful resort - it's like paradise. Everything about the place is beautiful. It's expensive but well worth it. The staff are all very polite and all the restaurants are good, particularly the one at the top of the hotel. Have been back 3 times!

From the gorgeous views, beautiful resort, and amazing staff this is one of the best resorts we have ever been to. If you are ever thinking of visiting Ko Lanta this is the place to stay. The staff are attentive, the resort is perfectly maintained and their amenities are top notch.

Amazing hotel on a wonderful island. I could write a long essay about the hotel but I will focus on some items. The beach is awesome and roughly for 70% (more or less) exclusive to the hotel. When you go two beaches further to the South (Bamboo Beach) you see the direct difference between a beach (Bakantiang Beach, the one... More

I had chosen Pimalai with a certain degree of trepidation. While most reviews were good, some were damning and I worried how true they may be. However I took comfort from the iescape review and also that it's a member of the small luxury hotels of the world. Also in terms of price this looked to be at the cheaper... More

(U.K. Mighty Boosh fans will get the title) I got the feeling this resort wants to be something different and hasn't yet transitioned. I think it would like to be similar to Anse Chastenet in St Lucia which has its sister hotel, the very expensive Jade Mountain, further up the hill. But Pimalai hasn't decided what it wants to be... Thank you for review . As suggested, we will add a little explanation for the use of the Breakfast facilities on the hillside. This is in fact only at that time during the day, breakfast time, and in particular during the high season, that we reserve the use of the hillside restaurant for the clients that have booked themselves into... As part of our honeymoon in Thailand we booked this hotel and were there for 3 nights. The hotel area is really beautiful. It's build along the hillside divided by the local village road passing through. The upper side is packed with villas and a very good restaurant called "Seven Seas" at the top of it. This restaurant serves delicious... More

Thank you for postimg a review; and we certainly enjoyed the reading and the reference to Spielberg & Co. Well, we would then say that it is only through feedbacks that we can (quoting Robert Burns) “see ourselves as others see us” and learn of what we do right and what requires improvement. Indeed & sorry about the ants getting... More
