Really sad to have to write a bad review but was really disappointed with our stay. Rooms are very old (which is fine) but really need updating and a good clean. TV remote didn't work, apart from main light little lamps didn't work, holes in the walls and toilets, just generally run down. Stayed in places in Thailand cheaper and...

We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are usually only for three people but they put in an extra bed as we had two children. Unfortunately this left very little floor space! If you like rustic then you'll probably love this quaint resort. The young lady on reception spoke excellent English and was really friendly and helpful. The breakfast...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They warmed our hearts upon arrival. The hotel receptionist was very helpful, she recommended some good places to visit and eat as well. The room was quite good. The shower was nice and it is very quick to get hot water in it. They...

Rooms are simple but clean. Nice to sit outside in the evenings on the decks. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Even the pets are friendly. What a nice welcome! I don't agree with review on breakfast being simple. It was exceptional. The Thai omelette was extremely good and a generous portion, and it came with fresh fruit.

I loved this place. It is true the rooms and breakfasts are basic but you have everything you need. We had our own tradional style 'house' with ensuite and balcony in the 'gardens'. You can hire bikes or they will help organise transport at super cheap rates. You can get coffee and fresh coconuts to drink at the cafe. It...

Also a basic breakfast, but the pile of garbage bags that greeted us in the morning was the only eyesore. We arrived at almost midnight, but the owner was kind enough to let us in and show us to our rooms.

We stayed here for 2 nice and we liked it. The location is perfect, quiet but not too far from the main road, and the historical Park is close-by. The room has only the basic things, but it's clean and cute. There are wooden tables just outside the room where you can sit in the evening and an occasional cat...

I have spent one night at this very nice resort. Peaceful and quiet, close to the center, nice room, good wifi, breakfast (included with fixed but varous menus). Free coffee available the whole day. Very kind owner and staff, arriving at 9 am the room was ready (ch-in from 2 pm), on ch-out day we were allowed to stay longer...

We have been at the old palace resort 3 nights. Breakfast: ...which was included in the rate (850baht, with AC doubleroom) consisted in a small fruit platter, 2 slices of toast and a choice of a freshly made egg dish (e.g. Thai omelette, scrambled egg etc.) or cornflakes with yoghurt/milk or rice porridge. Pretty good though it wasn't too much...

This is my second stay at the Old Palace Resort...I opt to stay in the bungalows; which are older, yet simply charming! They have views of the lush landscape of a more rural thai environment. It is quiet and restive. The resort is situated just outside the island of Ayutthaya, and is within easy reach to the temple ruins and...
