Its located in middle of Bassi village with narrow approach roads. The hotel is short staffed and every thing moves at snail pace. Beautiful property especially the rooms are superb. The Owners deserve a special thanks for trying to make our stay really relaxing.

We had an amazing time at this hotel, had a beautiful room with a sitting room, looking out on to the walled garden. We had a fabulous evening of local entertainment, including the girls being dressed in sari's & the boys in turbans then a really great meal on the beautiful outdoor terrace. Was disappointed the pool was out of... More

The place is an exact contrast of the website. When we arrived in the evening...there was no body...there was a man who was wearing shabby clothes and slippers...when we asked about the manager he said go up and check...later he only came at the reception desk and said I am the manager!!!! Stinky dining room. Swimming pool was full of... More

While the fort itself is a lovely place, we bristled at the way we were treated by the proprietress. She was quite domineering and seemed to be bullying both her guests AND staff. We were not given menus or pricing when told that we'd be eating the deluxe meal in her restaurant- not our choice! Whilst she agreed to give... More

We were part of a 15 day tour of Rajasthan. This was one of the better places we stayed at. At least we had clean sheets! The meals were also better presented and served at the table, as opposed to the usual buffet at every other place we stayed. The staff also seemed better trained. We did a walk through... More

It was a huge disappointment at WelcomeHeritage Bassi Fort Palace primarily due to poor management. There was no reception nor there is any security. The hotel provides poor facility to vehicle driver and the drivers are not allowed to sleep in the vehicle on the premises. The room provided for driver is far away and was a stinking place according... More

We stayed here during January 2015. The palace itself has lovely character but the rooms were so dirty it ruined the stay completely. We also had lunch here - set menu - not sure if this was the palace or our tour but I did not see any menu's. The meal was below average. The junior staff were ok but... More

My wife and I stayed at the Fort Palace from January 8 to January 10, 2015. The Fort Palace has nice large rooms, the rooms and the toilet are clean and the beds are comfortable. The problem is with the maintenance of the property. The stairs leading to the property don't appear to have been swept, the covers on the... More

Don't be fooled by the Internet or the glossy brochure. The rooms are nicely decorated with lovely furniture but cold because of their large size and 5 of us in 3 rooms would have preferred some cleanliness. The pillows were filthy and brown in colour. The hot tap in our room 101 didn't work at all with the cold one... More

This is a true heritage hotel. The rooms are large and are exquisitely decorated. However, like a lot of former palaces centuries old with history, it is difficult to turn a beautiful old and historic building into a first rate hotel. Notwithstanding, this hotel is worth a stay. I was there with a tour group and we all found the... More
