We had visited here in January 2017 and we found very nice experience. Ambiance is very royal and all rooms are spacious. Surroundings around this converted hotel are too good and just 10 mins away from Bhartpur bird sanctuary. Food is good and ala carta is better than buffet spreads. Very neat and tidy and all fittings right from door...

We are Americans but live and work in New Delhi so we travel in India quite often. This hotel was a stop over between a trip from Agra to Jaipur and it was a great choice. We drove from New Delhi to Agra to see the Taj Mahal, then drove to Bharatpur (for a stop over on our way to...

Our one-night family stay here left us wanting for more! It's a beautiful property, well looked after. Though our main aim was the Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary, the Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel too became the highlight of our trip!

With a fairly large piece of land, Laxmi vilas is fairly spread out and is located near the bird sanctuary gate, The buildings are all separated with a few rooms in each, giving the required peace and space to each family living there, though the building are old and have been well refurbished. The restaurant serves good food, staff appreciated.

We went to visit the Ghana Bird sactuary at Bharatpur, and stayed at this hotel. The old palace is a small part of the hotel. The bulk of the hotel is in a new building. But the new building is constructed in the old style of a palace. It is very imposing and looks very nice, specially the colour decoration...

We visited Bharatpur in December 2016 and stayed for three nights. I was there mainly for the birding at Keoladeo National Park and had initially shortlisted a bunch of hotels just outside the park for convenience. The Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel was the preference of my wife and daughter (both non-birders). I was reluctant as the Hotel is about a...

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Bharatpur to catch the train to our safari. Lunch was a buffet - average food. The only meat option was chicken. The servers were very nice. It can be noisy when there is a large group present (they left about 15 minutes after we arrived).

We visited here for an arranged lunch as part of our Golden Triangle tour. As there were around 40 of us on the tour, we had a hot buffet in our own dining room. The food was wonderful with lots of choice and a mix of Indian and international (mainly Italian based) options. It really was quality. The setting itself...

The only game in town! PROS: Spacious villas: 401,402,403. Clean room Well maintained grounds. Short driving distance to Bharatpur Bird sanctuary. Ample space to have a large family gathering. CONS: NOT good value for money: poor food preparation and limited choices--no other local option for meals.
