The owner is very nice and sweet, we had a pizza night which everyone designed their own pizza, I think it was a great idea to get people together. I love the balcony especially at night just sitting there enjoy the stars also away from all the bars and parties. It wasn't very

Great location, right near a small beach, near the town/bars, and about an hour walk away from West Bay - but it's a really nice walk on the beach. Accommodations are OK - no outlets near the beds, not very clean (though not super dirty either). Not a particularly social

I stayed at Buena Onda for just one night as it was sold out for the rest of my stay. Before my stay communication with the hostel was very easy - I spoke with Sophie via Whatsapp to arrange my stay. She was really helpful after i had a mix up with the dates. The hostel is

Loved my stay at Buena Onda so, so much! Came for 5 days, stayed 2 weeks. Great people, lots of communal meals, happy yoga some mornings, nice location just a few minutes walk to beach. Thank you Buena Onda!! See you again sometime :)

Let start with the good things; 1. Owner is nice. 2. Surrounding is green. Unfortunately we have to be honest that they're also bad things; 1. Internet was most of the time not working. 2. Most of the time the lights didn't work in the bathroom neither the water for the

Sorry to ear that you did not enjoyed of the Hostel and West End. Roatan is a carribean island with mosquitoes, but conexion of Internet, little lights in the roads and expensive as almost all the island. I have one of the most cheapeast prices of Roatan... and yes is an Hostel, not an Hotel that it was i think you were loooking for. The lights of the bathrom are off in the day time because peolple are not conscient about the prices of the electricity and leave them all day on when it s not needed on the day. I advise everybody about to switch off light when they do not use them but sadly almost anybody does. Regarding the water we had some issues with the pomp this week but we always had water, maybe not enouch pressure.. How I explain you we live in a Caribbean Island and things are not easy to be fix here.. hope you understand that. Regarding the mosquitoes we do our best fumigating.. Thats the big issue in Roatan, but it s like that you have to live with the repelent. I could of course put cofee in the morning but increase the price of the rooms but after years with the hostel open, i know the guest that come here prefer cheap. There is bed and breakfast more expensive that it si included, We have cleaning service very day that empty trash and clean but you have to understand that they are lot of people sharing and living toguether in the hostel and its impossible that is alwyas perfect The towel is $1 for the cost of washing after your stay..not benefice for the hostel...never nobody complain because they have to hang up their towel to dry...that an extra service but almost all the backpakckers come with their own towel And yes you have to bring your flight light, Roatan is not a city but a Carribean island and most of the roads still darks. In my opinion you were expeting some more luxury in a low budget. hope you keep some good memories anyway sophie
