We were picked up at the airport and transported to the resort. We stayed in the Eagle Ray unit which has a phenomenal view of the ocean. Our unit was complete with cook stove, full-size refrigerator, A/C in each room, balcony, hammocks, patio table, swing. Internet is a little slow but for the most part is pretty solid. Besides, you're on the beach...on vacation. Put the phone down and close the laptop! LOL. The is an outdoor kitchen complete set up like a bar that is complete with utensils, 4-top gas cook top and huge gas grill for those of you who like to cook. Paul is a great host and can get you hooked up with just about anything you need; fresh fish to grocery runs to rides to town. There a night watchman on the grounds at night just to keep an eye on things so no worries there either. Turtle Beach IS NOT in the middle of all the tourists places. It is perfectly situated between West Bay and West End and has a phenomenal dive shop 200m from the resort. Water taxis are $3/person during the day and $5/person at night and they stop service at 8pm. Couldn't ask for a better location or place to stay. Thank you Paul and staff!!

My husband and I stayed here and actually had our wedding ceremony on the upper deck in February 2020. The place is absolutely incredible! Paul, Mary, Laurie, and all the staff were amazing. They helped us figure out how to have a little wedding and ended up coming to our ceremony, along with all the rest of the guests that happened to be there that week too!! It was magical. Like I can't explain it any other way. The atmosphere they have created there is perfect..relaxed and friendly and just good. Add to that it happens to be in situated on the most beautiful location. It is truly Paradise. I will never be able to thank them for making our stay so perfect. We had the time of our lives and left with not only incredible memories, but we made life long friendships. We are going back Feb 2022 with 3 of the couples we met there!! Oh and the rooms are everything you need and they help with everything so go!! Go stay at Turtle Beach!! Deb P

My wife and two daughters stayed in the Mayan Villa at Turtle Beach Resort for the week of January 20-27th. Paul, Larry, Mary, Rosa, Carlos and the rest of the gang are all so awesome. They treated us like we were part of the family. The villa itself is stocked with everything you need. The beds are comfy and you get a great breeze opening the windows and running the ceiling fans. At night, we closed the windows and ran the a/c (my wife likes it cold for sleeping). A/C in the living room and each bedroom work great. There are 2 swimming pools on the property and one of them is on the deck right out the door of the villa. Larry came by every morning to clean the pool. There also an amazing outdoor kitchen we used to cook dinner twice. Beautiful dock with palapa, hammock, swinging bench and comfy Adirondack chair. Everyone congregates on the dock to relax and chat. There's really nice snorkeling just 20' off the shore to the right of the dock. We also made use of the kayaks they provide on several days, including paddling up to West End one morning for snorkeling in Half Moon Bay and lunch at Ginger's. Speaking of, the location is awesome. You're smack dab in between West Bay and West End. You can walk (a little tricky to West End but not bad), kayak, or grab a water taxi for $3 to either location. But Turtle Beach is nice and quiet with very little traffic...basically like having you're own private beach. The water...amazingly clear! The coolest thing is the lengths everyone at Turtle Beach went to making sure we had everything we needed, giving recommendations and setting us up with excursions. One day, we asked Paul about the Roatan Rum Company and told us to jump in his truck and he'd take us up there. When we got there, they were closed so he said "lemme show you some sights very few people get to see" and took us out to a "keyhole" in the Iron Coast where we took amazing pics,, and then to an overlook in the woods where you could see all the way to airport. When we returned I asked about finding someone to take us to a couple good snorkeling spots we couldn't reach by shore and he recommended Raymond, a local Islander who happened to be there working on his boat. Following morning at 9, Raymond met us at the dock and took us to the Blue Channel, Spooky Channel, Starfish Alley, past Anthony's Key to see the dolphins, through the mangroves, and then one final snorkeling stop way offshore in front of Turtle Beach. All in all, a 4 hour trip and he charged us just $30 each! Raymond even gave me his favorite recipe for cooking octopus! I could keep going, but trust me when I say you will not be disappointed if you chose Turtle Beach Dive Resort! Now I know why they have people coming back every year. Thanks again to Paul and the entire gang! You guys are awesome and we'll definitely return with a bigger crew!

Run, don’t walk to get here! We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Their recommendations and hook ups for taxis, excursions( Roatan Reef Tours)(Victor Boddens), dive operator(Clearwater-THE BEST), etc were priceless. We just had to tell them what we were interested in and it was set up at a great price. Rosa is an Angel and takes care of you start to finish. She truly cares about your stay. Carlos was a joy to talk to and does a beyond fantastic job with the beach and plant maintenance. Paul, Larry, and Mary were a wealth of knowledge. They never hesitated to meet our every need and to offer a friendly chat. We love to travel and have been to many places in the Caribbean and to Roatan several times. This place tops our list as one of our favorites. It is a utopia. There are beautiful surprises around every corner. Great for my husband, myself, and our two kids (12 & 14). The snorkeling was great from the dock as were the sunsets and sunrises from the top deck. The beds are very comfortable and the ac cools everything off quickly. Our flight was cancelled due to a storm and they welcomed us back with open arms and Paul even went to get a delicious dinner for us. The location is perfect! Close enough to west bay and west end if you want it, but private and quiet if that’s your speed. The views are spectacular. I could go on and on. This place is the bomb!

This resort is not only beautiful, with a great design of multiple levels, pools, places to sit and watch the sunset, and comfortable air conditioned villas. But, it is also located right between West Bay and West End. Take an easy 10-15 min walk down the beach to the left or to the right and you'll have a fun filled day of activities, shopping, great food, drinks, snorkeling, and amazing beaches.  The owner Paul and his staff are the nicest people, they fix any issues within minutes (new jugs of water, or swap propane tanks for cooking). They have laundry service, and free use of snorkel equipment and floaties.   We were actually stuck here for a week due to borders closing during the COVID-19 scare. In this time of emergency Paul and his staff were extremely helpful with information, helping us get food, ensuring we were ok, and didn't take advantage like some people would have.  One of the best parts of my trip! Even with all the mess that was happening. If you're going to Roatan you must stay at Turtle Beach Resort 🐢
