I stayed at El Sitio for a single night in September. Pros: The hotel is clean, with a nicely decorated lobby/hallways. It's located very centrally, with good access to stores and the market. Room prices are attractively low. Cons: Very small rooms, and tiny bathrooms. Wifi did not work. Hotel staff were extremely unfriendly. I suspect that El Sitio is...

I've stayed at Hotel El Sitio twice now, both times in the summer. By US standards, it's a pretty simple hotel, but it's clean and comfortable, and the staff is very accommodating. They always placed fresh towels that were folded/molded into...

We have stayed here with a mission group to Guatemala every year for the past 5 years. Simple but clean and safe. Very friendly and willing to help with anything. I would stay if traveling with my family.

“Ask for a room with a window. There are several which don't have windows (mostly single rooms) and they're a little claustrophobic.”
