#1 of 7 hotels in Monterrico
All our 16 rooms have air condition, TV and of course private bath. Free parking and high speed WiFi is also included. The large pool, 20 x 7 meters, was totally renewed in May 2012. Since 2014 we also have a small pool for the youngest kids, only 35 cm deep. The colorful, lush gardens, with lots of different flowers, plants, fruit trees and different palm trees, where you always can find shadow and a hammock to rest in, make all the area of the hotel fresh even when it´s a really hot day. The tranquility that our hotel offers give you the opportunity to escape from the daily stress. We have a generator that guarantees you that the a/c etc. is working even when the power is out. Breakfast is included in our rates.

My friend and I needed a getaway, she had stayed at the hotel previously, this was my first stay. Quiet and relaxing with a beautiful pool and air conditioned rooms. Food was excellent. The owners and staff made our stay memorable, I’ll be back!

We loved staying at this hotel with a lovely garden and a fabulous pool! The food was delicious and very tasty. The owners and the staff very friendly and helpful. Though not on the beach( one minute`s walk), we could still hear the soothing sounds of the waves! A few minutes walk from the noisier resorts in the centre, it felt very peaceful. The rooms are a bit dated and I missed not having hot water in the shower, but all the good things made up for it!

This hotel was an excellent location to relax and enjoy the Pacific and local surroundings after being a part of a Habitat for Humanity one week build in Solola. It has to be the best kept secret of the area; wonderful, caring and helpful hosts (Stig & Violeta), friendly staff, beautiful grounds complete with a terrific swimming pool, and a restaurant with a wonderful menu of home made delicious meals (mostly created by Violeta) to satisfy all tastes. It is located across the mostly unused road from the ocean and is only a short 3 minute walk to the beautiful black sand beach which stretches for miles; it is very quiet little environment of it's own within the town community. They accommodated eight members of our team who decided to come for four days and made us feel very welcome and at home (away from home). Max from Canada

This hotel was advised to us by adventurous friends, we wanted to try while we rather got used to the big mundane hotels, we loved both the welcome and the place, it is a small oasis of peace with charming people, we highly recommend it, it is clean, low prices and everything is great

I just love this place! First, let me talk about the human side of things, The hosts, Violeta and Stig are wonderful caring people that really make the place. They really took great care of me. The staff were polite, available and quick to serve. My room was on 1st floor facing the pool, had A/C, was clean, had a mosquito net and they would clean it while I had my breakfast, talk about being efficient. Although there is no hot water, I knew that if I showered in the afternoon, the water was warmer. This is an ideal place for a woman traveling alone as they have a restaurant on site so no need to go out at night for dinner. Many choices on the menu, I had different things and everything was great. The breakfast is included with several choices available. What I really appreciate is that they use purified water for the ice and cooking so you can even eat salads without the risk of getting sick. I really loved their lemonade. I miss it already! The grounds are well maintained with lovely plants and flowers. There are hammocks placed in quiet areas so you can hop in and relax. The best part is the pool. Large, clean and warm water just the way I like it. There is also a kiddie pool and another one near the restaurant but I didn’t use those ones. They are situated just across the street from the ocean, a 3 minute walk to the beach. It can get very hot (32-35 C) so I chose to walk along every morning and this usually before 8AM. The more I think about it, more I really want to return next year and make it a “hat trick”… 3 years in a row! Thank you very much Violeta and Stig for your attention and kindness, till we meet again. Carole from Canada.
