Lovely old house, we had a deluxe room which was at the top of the house ( about 50 steps to go up ) brilliant view of the lake with a nice balcony to sit outside on. Quite low ceilings in this room but loads of character. Excellent location and very clean.

Very charming hotel. Location was absolutely perfect. Vila Jovan is located in the old city of Ohrid. All of the restaurants, historic monuments, and museums are in the walking distance. Also, the beach is close by. The hotel is built in the very unique Ohrid style and the interior is decorated in the style to fit the same era.

I loved my room here. It was comfortable and quiet and didn't differ from what i'd seen online -- so no disappointment there. Some people may find the bathroom a little small though but I thought it was ok. Being located in the old town means walking all over the place is fairly easy (unless you hate cobbled streets). Breakfast...

Great location in the old town centre. Nice, old authentic-feeling building. Good service. A little bit cramped inside. Tiny reception area with no place to eat or sit. Single rooms were small but comfortable and well-appointed. Mine even had a bit of a view. Unfortunately, neither the AC nor my bedside lamp were working, but I was too tired to...

I stayed 3 nights in a single room. The pictures haven't come out too well but it was a sweet room. Very comfortable with a decent shower and air con. For what I paid I thought I got good value and I had a nice stay. The location was central, in the old town. The place comprises cute rooms in...

'Average' doesn't seem quite the right rating for this hotel, as it's not average, it's pretty unique - it just doesn't really deserve a much higher rating. The house and the individual rooms are stunning - wood floors, fittings and panelling, Ottoman style window seats and lace curtains, etc. Rooms are also surprisingly comfortable, if a little dark (also in...

This is the second time we are staying in this place and i have to say that we will definitely return if back in Ohrid. This is a wonderfully restored traditional Ohrid style house which the owner invested a lot of love in the finish. Rooms are quite comfortable and are all that one would need for a visit of...

We stayed there as two families, beautifully restored, lots of lovely old timber. The owner was lovely. A couple of criticisms........ Bathroom was cold with constantly wet floor. Room had no central heating but had portable and very loud upright fan heater. A bit difficult to concentrate yet alone hear the tv. Access, locking and unlocking the front door was...
