I really liked this hotel, the main building is a restored old house and although the rooms are slightly smaller (than the new build extension) have more character which made my stay all the better for it. The staff were all really good with a welcoming smile and happy to help whatever the question (about the hotel or other local... More

We arrived shortly before dusk, dropped off by one tour guide, to be picked up the next morning by another guide. The weekend manager met us and quickly checked us in. He asked when he could have dinner ready for us, and showed us to our room. This hotel is undergoing an amazing renovation or restoration, and it is a... More

Mansion Santa Isabela is a totally renovated old house. Decoration and furniture are quite singular and, from my perspective, of wonderful taste. People are very kind and interested. If you intend to visit Equador, try to spend time in Riobamba. No doubt Mansion Santa Isabella is the best place for your stay. Enjoy!

Stayed here with family in August for a week, very clean and beautiful hotel. Kenneth at the front desk was so nice to us and helped us with lots of different things. The entire staff there was gracious and welcoming. The food there was also very good, the dinner menu as well as the juices were delicious. WiFi was also... More

We stayed here the day before our trek in the Andes. Great hotel. Very clean and beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. They kept our bags for our guide to pick up and everything. I will stay here again if I had to.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. First when we arrived, they had construction in the building with people working and lessening to loud music until 6pm. Our room was very nice. But except the bed, there were no furniture. No chair, no desk, nowhere to hang clothes. Everything went on the floor.... The jackets, the laptops... Etc... Then the... More

Thank you for your review and for pointing out a couple of problems. We have been opening 14 new rooms over the past few months and the problems refered to are a result of that. All the new rooms now have beautiful pine closets, tables and chairs. We have fixed the internet problem so that there is internet in all... More

We travelled from the Cloudforest (North) to Cajas NP (South) visiting several hotels but I did not see any hotel that even remotely compares to Santa Isabella. Close to the centre of Riobamba you suddenly feel you have entered an exotic world of flowers and beautiful paintings :) Awesome rooms, superb large bathroom with giant bath and nicely smelling soaps... My daughter and I spent two nights in this hotel prior to riding the Devil's Nose train journey. We were welcomed and looked after wonderfully throughout our stay and the staff helped us with many aspects of our journey-planning. The building itself is charming and our room was very comfortable. Restaurant was also lovely.

Riobamba has not good choices of hotels and restaurants. Overall there are not good reasons to stay overnight unless you have business, drive from Quito to Cuenca or visit the train canyon. The Santa Isabella is a charming hotel, with most of the 20 rooms facing a 2 floors courtyard of a one hundred old mansion. It is centrally located,... More

Dear Marcopolo, Thank you for your review and for pointing out some of the areas we need to work on.
