The building has lots of character especialky the old part . Our room was in the new section. It was spacious and comfortable especially the king sized bed. The location is good $3 taxi ride from the station, walk to the train station, el centro, markets. Ate at Delirio in the next street - good and clearly popular with tour...

We were here actually for the restaurant, but the owner offered us a tour through the hotel. The place is amazing and elegantly decorated. The restaurant is divided in two, the upper part and the cave. We had dinner at the cave and were truly amazed. The ambiance is great and the food was wonderful! The best were the Risotto...

This is a renovated mansion converted into a charming hotel, run by former Brit/Ecuadorians. The rooms are around a central courtyard. They also have an additional new building built in similar style and connected to the original mansion. We stayed in a room in the newer section. The room was good, with a newer bathroom. The shower experience was maybe...

We stayed here as an overnight stopover heading towards Banos. The hotel is beautiful inside with traditional polished wooden floors very typical for historic buildings in the area. We received an upgrade to a junior suite because the room we originally reserved was not available. We were originally allocated an inferior room to the one we booked but the room...

From the outside not so spectacularly but as soon as you enter the hotel, you feel like traveled back in time to colonial areas. The interior is beautiful, a quaint and calming atmosphere surrounds the entrance hall. Rooms a lovely and dedicated decorated. The manger / staff are exceptional friendly and helpful with all queries! Dinner prices are very reasonable...

The location was perfect!! Centrally located to everything. We stayed one night in Riobamba just to catch the early bus to the train ride to The Devil's Nose. The bus station is not too far from the hotel. The taxi charged us between $1.50 - $2.00 USD each way.The property was really nice and clean!! The staff was very friendly...

Stayed one night on my way to Quito. Nice big rooms - I stayed in the "Madre de Bosque" room on the front facing the street with nice big windows that were sound proof as I slept very well. The bathroom was fine and overall a very comfortable place to spend the night. I eat lunch in the restaurant which...

Having driven into the Ecuadorian highlands, to the foot of the stunning dormant volcano Chimborazo, passing llamas, grannies in ponchos, unbelievably cute children, dogs and frankly everything you might hope to see up an Ande en route, I was not expecting a mild mannered South Londoner to welcome us into the Santa Isabella, but there he was. Ben was the...

I am an architect, so the ambiance of this hotel was perfect. A problem occurred when our driver/ guide did not show up for a 1/2 day sightseeing. The owner of the hotel solved the problem by volunteering to take us. Our half day turned into a whole day. She and her American boyfriend took us to her special places...

We travelled Ecuador for two weeks. This boutique hotel was a favorite. The property is a charming old mansion that was converted to a hotel. We ate dinner at the dining room and had a very memorable meal for a very reasonable price. Roibamba is not a huge tourist town, but the Santa Isabella is worth a visit.
