Let me take u through the experience from to finish. 1. Entrance was not obvious as the numbers don't follow on the street and it tucked away on a parallèle road over looking a rather dingy car park. 2. The exterior appearance starts to pose doubts on ones choice.... 3. Received a very welcome greeting of the staff upon arrival...

Don't be fooled by the pictures. Booked a three adult room and it was three beds crammed inside of a small room. The location is close to the park but far from the entrance (2km). You can find nicer places for half the price.

We stayed here as a family of 4 p, children aged 8 and 6. When we turned up, we were surprised at the location to start as it was opposite some really awful looking flats and not really looking like accommodation but rather that we'd turned up at someone's house. The foyer was slightly terrifying actually and we nearly walked...

In our two week vacation in Croatia, my wife and I wanted to see the much heralded Plitvice lakes. We chose Villa Mukinja based on its proximity to the park and other reviews. We knew something was missing when we arrived to an onslaught of air fresheners. They were everywhere trying in vain to mask the musty, moldy smell that...

This place is in need of a serious overhaul. While Helena, the hard-working hostess, guide, cook, cleaning staff, and everything else here, is very charming and helpful, Villa Mukinja is really dated and needs a complete renovation. The rooms are a good size but the floors are covered with really old industrial carpet. The bathrooms had a drain in the...

We had an amazing time at this B&B. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful! We would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the area. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. They had a really interesting original art collection throughout the house. They had a dry sauna, and hot tub (unfortunately out of...

The building is very nice, full with flowers, cozy terrace, in the middle of the forest. However I have to mention that they should clean a bit more the electronic equipments (for example ventilator in the bathroom). Unlike the Villa information the national park entrance is around 20 minutes walk far, but it is doable. You have to pay extra...

First, the hotels and food establishments located at the lakes are awful. So look for alternative arrangements. Through TripAdvisor we found Villa Mukinja. It is a clean and well run B and B in a rural area. The location is good - just a 15 minute forest walk down to the lakes. Breakfast here is simple and good. The shower...

The place is essentially a B&B and suited for adults. Definitely not worth the money given the state of the bathroom and the layout of the room for a family. The owner's attitude was correct but very "business business " trying to sell evening meals constantly. On the positive side, the location is perfect for the lakes ,the employees were...
