We went on the local ferry to Dubrovnik, it leaves just outside the Albatross Hotel and takes about 40 minutes, great trip. The ferry to Dubrovnik stops at an island which is a national park, we could hear loads of crickets as we approached the island, they were incredibly noisy, but should be interesting. There are boat trips to various places available from stands along the sea front on the walk round to the centre of Cavtat, about 25 minutes gentle walk with shops, bars and restaurants all the way.
