Arriving in Split for car ferries - when you head towards the port / old town the ferries leave from the left hand side as you look out to sea. There is grid parking for the cars and a little ticket office - you book on the day and should find no problem getting tickets for that day. In May we bought a ticket and got onto the next ferry. Ticket prices were ~£20 each way. Make sure you spend some time in Split - its lovely.
