The Moon Inn is a well placed guest house in the middle of the Lijiang old town. It is not easy to find (initially) by yourself - so suggest you are me at one of the entrances to the old town. The guest house is just a few hundred metres from the busy and noisy main square so is ideally...

Located on a bend on a street within old Lijiang, Moon In is close enough to the main attractions, but in a quieter area. Steps were required to get up to the hotel and the gate is closed late at night. Room on the second floor was large enough, but carpeting was in need of a changing.

My husband and I flew in and out of Lijiang for our holiday, and stayed at the Moon Inn for both our arrival and departure times. Eric was very accommodating and friendly, the rooms were clean and the bathrooms featured hot water showers. A few nights it was so cold in Lijiang that it snowed, but Eric put a space...

This is a family run hotel with very high standards. Eric and all of his family we meet made us feel very welcome. Eric with his traditional chinese tea making and his sister with the fantastic breakfast served in the court yard. Rooms very pleasant and comfortable in pleasant surroundings very good internet service. Would use this hotel again when...

Quite hard to find and we got lost on arrival and so the poor manager had to try and find us at 10pm. He didn't seem too pleased, but we can't blame him for that! The hotel itself is cute, with a charming courtyard and lovely wood rooms with ornate lattice windows. Bathrooms are slightly basic but that's acceptable for...

The hotel is very cute, just down the alley to old town which makes this location ideal. The courtyard is charming, and although the rooms were tiny, it was enough to accommodate two people (we booked two rooms for our party of 4). We had major issues with the smell from the bathroom, and brought it up to the management,...

We just spent 4 of the best days at The Moon Inn! Eric and his family are so welcoming and helpful in planning your visit around Lijiang and with travel too!! The real plus of this place is meeting all the other travelers and spending time with them in the courtyard. We just loved it!

Just finished spending a glorious a cool blue sky winter at the Moon Inn in Lijiang. My hometown of Sydney sweltered under summer days of 40c plus on many occasions but the weather in Lijiang couldn’t have been better for a China winter. Our Moon Inn hosts of Eric and his sister, Lily, were wonderful and were often helpful in...

My wife and I stayed there recently and the Inn is well located and our comments are : 1. Moon Inn is close enough to the main areas of the Lijiang Old Town as with the main roads skirting the Old Town, thus easy to move around. 2. The Inn has a nice character to it and feels rustic and...
