We stayed two nights there. We each paid the same price for our respective double rooms. However, the rooms were of different quality. Mine was newly renovated, clean, nicely done up. I liked many things about it – the softness of the bed (unlike the hard – really hard – mattresses that seem to be the mattress of choice of...

We stayed here twice in the deluxe double room. The views from the room and outside balcony were fantastic. The bed was comfy and there was high pressure hot water around the clock. What we loved most was the quiet yet central location of the hostel - it's only about 5 minutes walk from the chaos that is Lijiang Old...

Lijiang is a great place with great opportunities for day trips and seeing some of the best sights China has to offer. However the Old Town itself can be pretty overbearing. It gets packed full of tourists from the afternoon until late at night. It's loud and busy and you will probably feel like you want to escape after a...

I stayed in this hostel on my first trip to Lijiang. Now that I have moved to live here, I often just drop in to say hi and have a beer or a cup of tea. The staff - especially May the boss - are so friendly and helpful, on my first trip I planned to stay for just one...

Just within the old town is the nice Garden Inn, a quite place with a nice garden where you can hang out and the kids can play. Only 5 - 10 minutes walk from the busy old town square. Friendly staff. We had a family room (2 adults + 2 kids 8 + 6 yrs old) with a kingsize bed...

I had problems yesterday to leave without tears. It's true and I can confirm: they are the best in Lijiang! Great atmosphere. Very good service thanks to very nice and helpful staff. Good location, at the end of the Old Town (which makes it quiet) but still very accessible from the main road.

A good selection of budget rooms and even some dorms for those who like that kind of thing. What really makes this place my number one choice is the attitude of the staff. The Boss, May is super helpful and the staff always seem to be laughing and joking which really makes for a great atmosphere. I also like the...

I picked up a flyer from a hostel in Kunming, and was very pleasantly surprised by this quiet little hostel tucked away in the old town of Lijiang. The staff are friendly and exceedingly helpful. The Chinese guests can grate on the nerves a little when they spend the evenings watching movies online in the cafe/bar area (with no headphones...

The staff are amazingly helpful (we received a ten-minute tour of the hostel as soon as we arrived). This is, without exaggeration, the best hostel I've ever stayed in.
