Landscape Hotel ideally situated in the centre of the Old Town of Dali. All of the ancient town within easy walking distance. We were there during Chinese New Year and the town was Extremely Crowded, which made the hotel a quiet retreat with its courtyard location. Rooms very comfortable with good amenities.

This hotel is situated right in the middle of the old city of Dali and very convenient location. Literally 100metres to the main drag where the place is alive at night. The room I had was very tired and in need of renovation. The floor was worn and lifting in places. Bed was comfortable but the shower was only warm....

This hotel is positioned in a very convenient location, just a min walk to the shopping street. Beautiful on the exterior but can do a better job for the rooms. Dragging the luggages is quite a challenge as there are a number of steps leading to the hotel rooms.

First impressions from the car park said "weird" but wlak down the street revealed a lovely entrance into a courtyard with instnt appeal. The property has lots of buildings each built around court yards with tranquil gardens within. All were linked by pathways and a discovered a very good craft market plus shops on site. The beds had big bulky...

Set around a series of traditional Chinese courtyards the modern rooms are well equipped (for some Westerners). Luckily our tour guide offered us the very important advice of the three letters, right from day one of our 26 day tour of China. T.I.C. T = This. I = Is. C = China. In other words. Do NOT expect a country...

This was a hotel of courtyards, plants, lanterns and great polished wood furniture. The location is excellent for exploring the town. We ate breakfast up on the top floor of a tower that showed views of the clouds rolling up with the sun over the Cangshan mountains. We did not experience the problems reported here by ither reviewers, and found...

We spent a couple of nights there. We needed to beg for warm water in the shower as well as toilet paper in the restroom. Hardly anyone could speak English. European breakfast was rather poor. To put it short, rather disappointing!

Our group spent three nights at this hotel. This is a picturesque and quaint hotel, but not near the standards westerners are used to. Very good location within the old town with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Nice court yards and common areas. We had a power outage the first night., the hotel generator kicked in about two or...

Very well located. A nice authentic place. The room was large and confortable but overlooking a blind wall. It was a bit noisy at night. Nice western breakfast. Just ask for a quiet room with some kind of view. But remember : the reception staff could not speak a word of english.

This is not a place which copes well with westerners. It might have been tolerable if we had been part of a group with a fierce Chinese-speaking tour leader, but as it was we had difficulties with communication. Low points were the "western restaurant" which was said to be locked at 8 p.m. and the subsequent experience in the Chinese...
