We arrived at the Peony Hotel it was past its best and rather stuck in the past. We had to leave early the next day so breakfast would be served early only problem was the breakfast was cooked the night before and re heated.

Our room was clean but very poorly maintained, the shower was functional. There was the smell is cigarette smock throughout the hotel, including the non smoking room. The bed was supper hard, almost unusable, the floor was considered, although it would have been to smelly. Our friends had ash in their sink although their bed was softer. Breakfast was ok.

I stayed there on 20 Oct 2015 during a group tour to Henan. it is an old hotel with small room, free wifi, bath tub, friendly front desk staff but poor air conditioning. Indeed the room is warm for most of the hotel that we stayed at Henan, not sure if it is an environmental friendly policy of the state... More

We arrived only to find dirty used towels in the bathroom. Weird as they left fresh towels where they should be but forgot the dirty used ones (from someone else). That was disappointing. The windows were grubby, the bed REALLY hard but fortunately there was a comforter in the closet in the room so I re-made the bed with this... More

This aged hotel needs a refurb. We arrived in the evening & were given a buffet dinner.the complimentary drink was 'a glass half empty'.i needed to request my sheets to be changed as they were a shade of grey not white. The cracked tiles can be added to the refurb.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel as part of a group tour. Rooms were clean, well decorated and light and the breakfast was good. We enjoyed the lightness of the bathroom area and overall found the hotel comfortable for the two nights we stayed here. We enjoyed having an evening meal and the staff tried to be as helpful as... Just an overnight stay with my friends as part of our private tour of China. Normal business class hotel in good locality and close to restaurants. The twin-room we stayed is clean and comfortable. Noise level is high so choose room on high floors. Clean bathroom with good shower. An acceptable spread of Western and Asian breakfast but it is... More

So many hotels in China look grand from the outside but fail to live up to the promise inside This one has a grand spacious foyer, revolving restaurant on 25 floor etc but you don't even need to scratch below the surface to find its all show The buffet restaurant advertises as serving diner until 23.00 but the night I...
