My family booked the Hidden Dragon Villa through Cathay Pacific Holidays for a short-break holiday during Easter 2018. The hotel is located in a refurbished Ching Dynasty traditional courtyard house in Jo Wu Du Village about 7 kilometres outside Yangshuo. The hotel staff, who wer

Elle the front desk manager gave us a warm welcome and spoke good English. Since it is low season and only 2 rooms are occupied, she upgraded us to a room on the third floor with a lovely view of the limestone hills. The restaurant is on the fourth floor with the same view, onl

Very cozy clean room. The view is breathtaking if you take a room with a view.
If not, you can enjoy even better view from a terrace on the roof, open 24/7.

Hi! Does anyone know if this hotel is located in the restricted area of the Yulong river park that has limited vehicle access in recent months? If so, can anyone speak to how difficult it is to to use this hotel as a base to get to and from different sightseeing locations?
I was there back in September. And yes, it was in the restricted area - however our driver (we travelled return from Guilin), just went 'the back way' so there was no problem. Nice hotel, nice staff. Lovely views!

Hi there how easy is it to visit xingping village and Baisha village from this hotel? How long will it take? Also how easy is it going into Yangshuo west st and what is the latest time at night we can get a shuttle back to the hotel. Thanks
we are staying there in april and arriving in guilin by plane. how DO we get to the hotel easily?/ thanks
Take a taxi. Easy peasy. It will cost you 300-400 RMB and take over an hour. But no hassle with English, getting to the bus or train station and then another hassle from the bus or train station to the hotel. Negotiate with the drivers BEFORE you get into the car and have the address in Chinese handy.

I'm confused is this hotel the same as the Yangshuo Hidden Dragon Villa? How many rooms are there?
Yes they are the same. Trip advisor names it without Yangshuo but other booking sites use it. It is a boutique hotel. Their website says 14 rooms.

Dear Hidden Dragon Villa, I have made a reservation for a room for two persons for 26/6 - 30/6. We arrive at Guillin airport at 9.15 am. How much would it cost to arrange for a cab to pick us up at the airport. Looking forward to our stay! Kind regards, Jonas Klarin
"Get a room with view to the limestone hills on the third floor"
"It was a little cold in the room but that is just how China's heaters work. Bring warm clothes to sleep in if traveling in the winter."
"Get the top floor looking our towards the mountains!"
"Get a room with a view, otherwise just climb to the rooftop for amazing views."
"Ask for a room with a view."
