This is a charming small hotel away from Yangshuo centre in the countryside. But I would recommend to choose this one compared to the more centrally-located hotels. Wonderful garden, very nice and helpful staff, very special but fully comfortable rooms. You feel yourself like being at your own summerhouse! The food is excellent so you do not need to go...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Secret Garden. The room was very clean, the food was tasty, the service was always very friendly. It was easy to grab a bike and explore the endless paths, small lanes and other routes through the local gardens and rice paddies. We loved how chilled out our visit was! I would not hesitate to...

The hotel organised our collection in a comfortable, roomy van from Guilin train station and driven safely to the hotel. The rooms are beautifully maintained and the grounds are magical. The food is fantastic and the staff always willing to help you enjoy your stay in this beautiful part of China. The location is perfect, you are out of the...

+ This place is great for lovers of well-restored older architecture. The large staff all speak good english. Bathrooms were top notch and clean. Expensive but worth it. - No rooms really have views, which is too bad since the area has spectacular scenery. Go to the nearby Zen Box hotel for a meal on their terrace to make up...

This hotel was located further away from the main town area, about a 10-15 minute taxi ride from town/West St. Located in Jiuxian village, it is very quiet and peaceful, typical Chinese countryside with quaint old farmhouses and flat rice fields but juxtaposed against the limestone karsts rising in the background. The staff were really lovely, and helpful with organizing any...

We stayed 4 nights at Secret Garden and enjoyed our stay very much. After the surprise of the entrance door (it is really a "secret"), we found a modern nicely decorated room in a old charming courtyard. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The village is some 7 km out of the noise and pollution of Yangzhou. Just know...

A little gem in the magnificent Yangshuo scenery! If you add the best banana pancakes ever, you have a winner! Of course, if you can't stand being surrounded by nature and no one to speak English outside the hotel, then don't go. It is a nice place to start a bike or a bamboo ride. Don't miss Moon Hill: the...

This hotel is so unique tucked away in Jiuxian Village about 7km from Yangshou. Its Qing dynasty buildings have been repaired and renovated to reveal rooms in nooks and crannies and corners. It is quite gorgeous and we couldn't stop taking photographs of it. The hotel is made of lots of wood and clay bricks and is clearly ancient. There...

The hotel is set in a quiet village away from the tourist hordes and offers lovely bucolic views of the surrounding hills and countryside. The hotel is a renovated old building and has charm aplenty. The staff are unbelievably friendly and mostly speak good English. The Secret Garden itself has a decent but small menu, there are a couple of...

I have been to 50 countries worldwide and I travel about 18x a year...at this moment in time, there are only 2 nice hotels in Yangshuo, this one and the very much more expensive Banyan Tree Resort. This one is quite far from Yangshuo town center (which is extremely rowdy and crowded - so you are much better off staying...
