We stayed here on our tour, thankfully it was only for 2 nights. On arrival after a hot trip in 49 degree heat we found we had no hot water for a shower which whilst being hot was OK. The ne t day was not so funny, however the zircon did not work so after the cold shower you soon...

Yes there is a Fawlty Towers hotel in Yangshou and this should join it. All I can say is that it was adequate with hardly any of the staff able to speak English and a restaurant that appears to cater for only Chinese. The beds were rock hard but we managed to find some old doonas in the wardrobe which...

Pros: good location, within walking distance of things you want to see. Cons: bathrooms dirty, on second day hot water disappeared and never returned, on second night electricity disappeared and never returned, beds hard as rocks, hotel open so anyone could wander up to rooms in the front building. Stayed here on a tour, would not recommend.

even though we had a busy road outside the building, I loved the view we had from the window. You can see those hills surounding the city , it is very pretty . the room was big enough. Big bed and clean sheets. Yangshuo town is not that big, but the location of the hotel is still very good. It's...

Pros: decent view, central location Cons: no elevator (3 floors), mouldy, dirty, watched staff clean drinking glasses with used towels off floor, needs updating Alternative: try the Bamboo Village Resort at 10 Chengzhong Rd great restaurant, newer hotel, inexpensive and very friendly English speaking staff

Well located property. Request a room off of the main road. We were on the main road, and even with ear plugs, it was very loud. This was one of the most clean hotel I stayed at while in China. As other reviews mentioned, there are no extras here: No elevator, no pool, no internet, no lounge.

Simple modern hotel in centre of town. Good location. Disadvantage: no elevator and no assistance in bringing the luggage up. Breakfast is offered (at costs), but is much better in town.

I liked this hotel (were in the new section out front), but there were a LOT of stairs to climb to room on 4th floor. Room was relatively clean & had someone's free wifi in it. A view of the karsts outside was fabulous. Was a little off the chaotic tourist road, but really, really close to walk, so I...

The Li River Hotel is OK, for somewhere affordable and reasonably well-located in Yangshuo. It doesn't have any extras, like a pool, or a lounge, or internet use. The included breakfast is a fixed menu which is not particularly apetising, but edible. The front desk staff speak English well and try to be helpful, but they didn't manage to get...

There’re two Li River Hotel in Yangshuo. The New Li River Hotel is on Pantao Road and the other one (that we stayed) is on Diecui Road. We booked the Li River Hotel (Diecui Road) because the room rate is reasonable with complimentary breakfast. In addition, we planned to travel mostly by bus and this hotel is close to the...
