We arrived to the hotel with much trouble. It is located in a ghost town, and only speciel busses are accepted to go there. The hotel is nothing like in the pictures. It is a used, old, dirty Best Western. Because it is a ghost town there's no other food alternatives than the hotel restaurant. The food in the restaurant in under average chinese food and highly overprized. It takes a fair bit of walking through the woods to get to the cabel car. The cabel car is expensive, and when finally arriving on the moutain, there's only narrow stairs a pathways. Very dissapointing trip to Huangshan. If you don't speak Chinese don't go there. If you do speak Chinese I suggest you go to Zhangjiajie instead.

We visited Huangshan Resort and Spa during a recent short trip to the Huangshan Mountains. This hotel features lovely mountain views, a great and helpful staff, and well equipped, clean rooms. Location- entry point to the mountains, accessible by car. The resort is a great starting point into the heart of the mountains, and leads into several walking/hiking paths. It's also a great connection point for the buses that go midway into the mountains, leading into the cable cars. Within walking distance is the Hotsprings spa as well as a few cafes and eateries. Service- we found staff to be friendly and helpful during out stay. They assisted in coordinating a tour, as well as checking schedules for shuttles and weather. Rooms- rooms featured beautiful mountainside views and were both modern and clean. Well equipped with hairdryer, coffee maker, wifi, television, bathtub, rainfall showers and more. Amenities- our room booking included a full breakfast which featured a small but decent selection of Western and Eastern food. We found it to be sufficient for breakfast. There is also two small gift shops where you can pick up raincoats, umbrellas, souvenirs, booties (for the rain), walking sticks and swimsuits (for the hotsprings). This is a gorgeous hotel, ideal for those traveling on a higher budget level and who wish to have a nice access point to hiking in the mountains.

We booked a room on the last night after staying at Xihai hotel on the mountain. We booked a deluxe room at the new wing building on the hill - you need to book this to avoid old wing.. spa was included and we really enjoyed spa. Highly recommended. Room was nice and big.

My friends and I booked two twins rooms at this hotel for one night with the assistance of a concierge at CTrip. To reach the hotel, we took a bus to Huangshan Scenic Area (Huangshan Fengjingqu) which is an interchange for buses operating around the Huangshan area. You can then hop on another bus here to head to the Hotsprings (Wen Quan) stop where the hotel is located. The hotel apparently has two wings, and there is a small 10-seater shuttle bus that will operate to bring you between the two wings. We alighted at the stop where the older wing is, and we were ushered onto the shuttle bus to proceed with the check-in at the newer wing. Our room was very spacious - there were two good-sized single beds, a television, built-in wardrobe, sofa, coffee table, working desk and chair and yet plenty of walking space left. The toilet was also very spacious as well, with separate partitions for the shower and the toilet bowl. Everything was clean and in good condition in the room. The breakfast buffet provided a decent range of food - from Chinese local foods such as porridge and doughsticks to typical continental food such as pastries and cereals. It was a good breakfast to start the day. The hotel stay also came with complimentary visits to the hotsprings operated by the hotel. These are outdoor hotsprings operated by the hotel, with showering facilities and towels, etc provided. The hotsprings are a good way to unwind and relax prior to or after your Huangshan climb. The service of the staff at this hotel also went beyond our expectations. As we were climbing up Huangshan and staying on it for a night, we requested for our luggages to be stored at the hotel for a night after check-out. Not only did the staff agree to keep our luggages for free, they also volunteered to bring our luggages to the nearest bus stop so that we do not need to alight from our bus when we come down from Huangshan and the bus can just stop for a quick minute to load our luggages and move on to return to the Huangshan Scenic Area. The nearest bus stop is actually perhaps a 3-5 minute walk and it is definitely not an easy task to bring 4 mid-sized luggages there. We liaised with the hotel staff via Wechat and everything went smoothly - kudos to the staff for this. The hotel, the room and the service were excellent, and I would not hesitate to return to this hotel should I return to Huangshan again. I would strongly recommend anyone who would like to stay one night at the foot of Huangshan to seriously consider this hotel.

Despite the raining weather, still managed to capture a number of nice shots. Sceneries were amazing and temperature was good, not too cold. Our guide David was really helpful and accommodating! Physically you have to be fit as you are expected to climb a number of stairs between cable car station and hotel or scenic spots. Can be very crowded over the weekend end with local tourists.

The 5 stars go for the new building of this hotel, gorgeous large room and bathroom with panoramic windows overlooking amazing Huang mountains! The breakfast at the new building is plentiful and delicious. Amazing variety of pastries and delicious dishes, both western and Chinese. We absolutely loved the new building and everything in it! We spent 4 days in Huangshan Resort and spa but the first night we got the worse room in the old building, the bathroom was moldy and the room was tiny and extremely overused. We were tired after two train rides, one bus ride and stressed out trying to hired a taxi to take us up the hill from Tongcu town to the resort... but taxis won’t drive up there, a good soul at the local store helped us calling the hotel, and the hotel told the lady that a minibus (public van) will drive by to pick us up to take us up the hill inside the park at 6:30pm. Hint: plan ahead with someone who speaks Chinese and English to schedule a shuttle pickup from the bus station in Tongcu town! Anyway, the next day we talked to the frontdesk and they moved us to a very nice and spacious room next to the ugly one! That room was wonderful and didn’t smell ... that evening we were informed that we were upgraded to the new building for the last two nights and they provided their shuttle to take us up the hill to the wonderful newer building! We would definitely go back!!!!! The location is amazing and the front desk employees are very nice and helpful!!!! The super plus, free usage of the gorgeous spa which is a very short walk up the hill from the old hotel. There is a shuttle service to take you from the newer building. The shuttle driver was also so kind and generous! The front desk helped us to plan a wonderful visit to the historic Ancient Villages of HungCun and Xidi! From the hotels (either building) is a few minutes walk to the public bus station to take you to the parks cable car and to purchase your entrance tickets. 240RMB entrance for 2 days, 90RMB to go up the Yuping gondola/cable car. The bus I think it was 10 or 15 RMB. Choose this hotel if you enjoy peace and quiet in a glorious environment surrounded by this amazing mountains!

The location of this hotel is quite perfect: it is at the foothill of Mt Huangshan, within the national park itself. It is walking distance to the ticket booth to get tickets to go up on the gondola station in order to go up the mountains. It also has a plus of operating the one and only beautiful and high standard hotsprings of the whole Huangshan region. If you stay at the hotel, your ticket to the hotsprings is included for your daily use. It also provides free transportation to the hotsprings--- you can be relaxed in your hotel robe, hop on the bus for a 3-minute ride to the hotsprings--- which is a definite relief and welcome after a tough day-hike on the mountains! The massage services (with additional charge) offered at the hotsprings are top notched masteries! We didn't even know how important the convenience of the Hotsprings services are (heavenly soaks in different beautifully designed pools, with soothing Chinese music in the background) until we experienced Huangshan-- such tough climbs, yet absolutely worth a pilgrimage, at least once in a lifetime for its breathtaking views! Now about the hotel: it is alright-- all adequate services and rooms; and the food is quite good in its restaurant. Under a usual standard, I would only give it a 3-star. But then I realized that most other hotels higher up on the mountains (which costs much more than this one), are sub-standards-- and they charge a lot more, without the hotsprings convenience.

After two train rides, 2 busses and then the Hotel Shuttle to get there, I was rather disappointed with the room. The room was cold and the shower drain clogged and overflowed all over the bathroom floor which is cement(cold). It has obviously happened before because the wood floor in the room was warped. I asked for extra towels and after a long conversation I had people in our room to unclog the drain and guess what I didn't get the towels. I called down again for towels and I was told house keeping was closed. So no towels after using all of mine to wipe up the floor. Language was tough as the front desk people did not speak English well if at all. On the positive side, the restaurant was great. Best food of my 21 days in China. Breakfast was very good also; but, not the best of the 21 days. Best variety was Howard Johnson's in Wuhan and best food was Waldorf in Beijing. If you are going here then get a detailed plan on how you will get from Railway Station to the Resort in your language for yourself and in Chinese to explain to everyone else. It all worked out ok; but, I had someone with me who spoke Chinese. We ran into a couple from Finland that needed our help to get them proper directions which the front desk couldn't help with. So they explained in English what they needed, I explained to my friend and she translated to Chinese. I hope it worked out ok for them. I felt bad for them. By the way Huangshan Mountain is worth the trip though.

The staff here is very helpful and has good english. There is a restaurant in the hotel which is really decent and, of course, the hot springs are just up the road. Most of all, it's a short shuttle ride to the cable car to get you up the mountain. I would recommend staying here rather than one of the hotels near the peak.

Staff does not speak english, but is friendly, (very) slow and appear disorganized at some point. Room (6301) was spacious, clean and functional with a big bath tub. Good bed. Breakfast and dinner were of great quality. Wifi was very Slow and I preferred to switch to 4G instead. This hotel is nothing to impress your neighbor, but does a good job, when you spend the full day outdoor, say in the yellow mountains, come back have dinner and go to the hot springs until you go to bed. Only thing to worry, when you are a hairline non-smoker: smoking is permitted. Recommended for flexible, value for money seeking outdoor-travelers.
