Close to Tunxi ancient town, good breakfast and friendly staff. Room spacious and clean, we stayed two nights and recommend coming here if you spend a couple of days to do Huangshan Mountain and Hongcun village
We used the spa whilst on holiday in another hotel in Huangshan. The whole place was very run down and although the massage was reasonable, the cost of ¥288 did not reflect the ill-maintained facilities. The spa itself is clearly in need of a substantial overhaul as it does not reflect the premium nature of the CP brand.
I have stayed in this hotel 3 times (once on business) and this was the best thanks to the room which had great view overlooking the river and was very comfortable. The hotel ticks most of the boxes but lacks atmosphere (even pre-COVID-19) and there were a few niggles such as no soap in lobby toilets on two separate visits and warm milk at breakfast labeled cold! Concierge was very helpful with various requests. Huangshan is a fantastic area to visit - mountains, old villages, Tunxi old town etc and Crowne Plaza has a great location - take an evening stroll along the riverside path
This hotel is definitely beyond my expectation of the Crowne Plaza chain. The service is a lot better than some ICs and second to none. Check in was smooth and all member benefits were guaranteed. The lounge was closed due to refurbishment so I was given buffet vouchers instead, which could also be redeemed at the lobby bar. My upgraded room was spacious and had a very nice river view. Abundant delicious food choices for breakfast and dinner. Staff were very nice and had good knowledges of the IHG program and the hotel, as well as the city. The concierge offered very useful advices for my visit. Booked two tours with them on separate days. I also enjoyed my breakfast and dinner, because of not only the tasty food but also the great service I received. I felt I was truly a valued guest here since every member of staff was so welcoming. Thank you all for making my stay so delightful. …
This is probably the best international standard hotel in Huangshan city! However, only a few staffs speak good English like Wil so it's kind of a struggle to communicate with other staffs even though they tried very hard to be helpful. Thanks to Wil, we got our train ticket booked and travel to mount Huangshan arranged! The hotel is very big and elegant. Room was nice and clean with nice view of the river. The seafood pizza we tried was good. However, the so called "mandarin fish" that I ordered at the Chinese restaurant was terrible. It smelled like rotten fish! Anyhow, this is probably the closest to international standard hotel as it gets. The hotel is about 5 min taxi ride to Tuxi Ancient street!
Crown Plaza Huangshan delivered the usual solid 5 star level known from this brand. Check-in was efficient, the room clean, modern, functional and spacious. Everything worked as it should, the beds were soft and comfortable, and our non-smoker room seemed to be a true non-smoker room - all that is not necessarily the case in other so called 5 star hotels in China... The breakfast buffet was extensive and of good quality, with enough variety also for those guests who do not prefer Chinese food for breakfast. We only stayed one night and therefore did not have the opportunity to use some other hotel features like gym or pool, but based on our experience, we do not hesitate to recommend this hotel for business and leisure travellers alike.
Stayed at Crowne Plaza Yucheng for 2 nights. Staff courteous and very service-oriented. The rooms are very clean and spacious and served with fruits such as orange, banana, pear, cherry tomatoes. impressed with the wide range of food served in its breakfast and dinner international buffet and the local food is very tasty. One of the much better buffets I have so far and the price very reasonable. The hotel is not too far from 老街， though you would need to take a cab there from the hotel. Cab fare around CNY 10-13. Cabs here charge by meter. No Didi here. Journey to the nearest huangshan north railway station is about half an hour or less and cab fare is between CNY 49-68.
My wife and I stayed overnight at the hotel on arrival from Hangzhou on 12 June 2019, before returning (from an overnight stay at the summit) to stay for another two nights, all pre-booked. We were delighted with the upgrade, as an IHG member, to the 10th floor, and the welcome drink, which offered a range of choices. We shared the red and white wines and they were good. The ambience of the hotel, outside and inside, looked impressive, including the superior room, with a strong shower and bathtub. The two single beds, though comfortable at first, sags later into the night, which affected our sleep. When we checked-out, we asked for a firm bed for our return stay. The following evening, we met the affable Duty Manager Fiona, who was apologetic over our last stay, and has upgraded us to a river-view room. It was nice of her to follow us to the bedroom to check the bed condition. We were all surprised that a wooden platform was instead placed beneath the bedsheet; the request for a firm bed was mistaken for a wooden bed! We opted then to reverse one of the beds, after removing the wooden platform, in the absence of any firm beds in the hotel. Unfortunately, the bed sags on the reverse side as well. Bed aside, we were pleased with the services rendered during our stay, although the command of English at the front desk to cater for English speaking guests need improvement, including the wanting smiles. We took buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner at the hotel for the three nights stay, and the range of offerings are satisfactory, although it would have been necessary to vary some dishes, especially those for breakfast. We ran out of variety! We, however, must commend on the services rendered by Winnie Huang. She was a delight; full of enthusiasm, energy and cheerful in welcoming guests and recommending dishes to savour, besides getting us the regular coffee and red tea. The other person we found pleasant and welcoming was Leo Huang, during our second night stay, who attended to us during the welcoming drink. It is the people that make the organization, and that made the difference for our stay with the hotel. We did not use the indoor swimming pool, although we noticed that it is compulsory to wear a cap before you can swim. The hotel is also within walking distance of the riverside walkway, where there are many night activities on both sides of the river, which the hotel could take advantage of to promote to first time guests.…
We stayed two nights here. On check in we were advised that our Club Lounge access would not be available as the lounge was closed. We were given a room upgrade and complimentary buffet dinner. At first we were frustrated at this forced change as the hotel clearly knew that they were not going to open the club lounge, but we enjoyed the dinner and the room were put in was really beautiful. The next morning was a disappointment. When we arrived for what we thought was a complimentary buffet breakfast, we were told we could only have 5 chinese breakfast options that were not to our taste. This next morning this rectified, and we received both buffet dinner and breakfast. The hotel is large and impressive with two separate wings and is 15min walk to the old Tunxi street. The hotel kindly stored our luggage for us for one night as we overnighted on Yellow Mountain while in the area. On a funny note - the hotel had one UB40 song on a continuous loop (not an album – one song!). It ran continually for the two days we were there. We used to like that song! Special mention to Bella the waitress working in the restaurant as her service was excellent and her welcoming smile and happy manner were really appreciated.…
good luxurious hotel, nice rooms (after for room with view) you can take taxi to old city or walk ab out 40 minutes (easy stroll along the river). there are plenty of taxi's in front on hotel to take you to xidi or huangshan mountain.
