I think the hotel gave me the worst room in the building. I read the reviews before and everyone said it was great. But I took many pictures to show my point. I'm pretty sure that there are motels better maintained than this hotel. The room looks extremely old and destroyed. Everything looks dirty. The bath towels look from the 90's, so old and tearing apart. The Wi-Fi is very fast and the AC works fine.
Well located for our needs. Staff at check in were not very helpful. We could not pay with a foreign credit card so had to pay up front in cash and they did not want to give us a receipt. Our tour guide had to intervene as no English spoken. The rooms cards must be reactivated after midday each day. No restaurant, so no breakfast and had to go out to eat. No laundry service but iron and ironing board in room. One room had a fridge not plugged in, the other had no fridge. We used the tea cups and they were not washed after use, although we had fresh towels and complimentary water each day. Excellent air con, comfortable beds, and functioning bathroom. Other guests kept knocking on our doors and it was noisy in the rooms because so close to reception. Would stay again but bring your sense of humour. …
The hotel is across the river half an hour walk from the Ancient Street of Tunxi. The hotel name was Parrion in August 2016. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The hotel was kind of luxurious. Breakfast was nice. Staff was nice and helpful. They let us leave our lugagges in the reception while we travelled to Huangshan Mt. Extern travel agents and solo drivers were hunting at the lobby. I didn't like that.
Spent a night here before taking High Speed Train to Wuyishan. Hotel is quite luxurious. Room space is huge including the bathroom area with bathtub. Encountered some maintenance issues with the bathtub and had a change of room. Bed very clean and comfortable. TV with plenty of programs mostly in Chinese. Wifi ok. Hotel location is 15 minutes walk from the Old Street across the river. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel well located in the heart of Tunxi. Not really near to the Tunxi old street, but still walkable, around 15 minutes. The room itself was quite spacious and clean. There is a glass on the bathroom door, and we could see through it, and it was kinda awkward. But overall the hotel room was pleasant and worth the money. Aside from that, the wifi was quite fast and doesnt need to input our phone number to login (typical Chinese Hotel wifi needs it). If you take a cab from Tunxi bus station to the hotel, the cab fare should be around 10-15 RMB
