We stayed at this hotel on 23 Dec 2015. I lost my wallet at somewhere, either at Huangshan or Xi Di Town. During check-in, my husband checked with receptionist how to make police report there. All staff very helpful. There has 1 lady at front desk, I forgotten to take her name. She help to checked by phone to police...

This is a hard hotel to review. I stayed here for an evening prior to ascending Huangshan, there was no heating in the room (Late December), the room and entire floor smelt of smoke, yet it was supposed to be a non smoking floor?!? At 7am our room door was opened by what i can only imagine was cleaners, as...

Went there as a young Western couple the night before ascending Huang Shan. Overall, this is an OK hotel offering good value for its low price (300 RMB for a standard double, purchased on a Japanese travel website) Overall hotel appearance is unappealing (very dark, shabby outlook), but the room was OK, clean and with very large bed We met...

I can see why it's billed as a "designer boutique" hotel with backing from some Hong Kong investors but frankly, this property falls pretty flat on its face. The location is on a rather run-down street, and not the most pedestrian-friendly as it's off the main road. Dimly lit lobby, saw few cockroaches scampering around while we waited for the...

A good location if you are going to visit Huangshan. Arranged for an airport transfer from Tunxi airport, unfortunately they had the wrong name for us on their placard. Staff at reception know very limited english. Rooms are basic but clean. There is no wifi available in the rooms, only in the lobby. The lady at the "tourist" counter probably...

This was a fantastic hotel and one of the best in terms of comfort I've stayed in China; and so far I have been living in China for 2+ years. This was my second time to Huangshan, first time staying at the top. Hotels at the top are not worth it at all. 800 RMB for a single and you...

The hotel is nicely appointed, with friendly staff. The only problem was that the A/C and internet didn’t work in the first room they gave us. They did try to fix the problems (as much as Chinese staff really try), and then moved us to another room. They begrudgingly gave me a tiny discount for the first night. The hotel...

We stayed at the Tangkou Hotel before heading up to Mt Huang Shan. We originally thought it was far from the centre of town (we arrived at night) but the following day we realised there were more restaurants if you head to the east too. The hotel was very clean and receptionist spoke great English. We had a problem with...

We stayed at the Tangkou Hotel for two nights on a recent trip to Huangshan and were very pleased with our stay. The style is rather Japanese--teak, spare furnishings and white walls, with pretty art in the room; very clean, nice towels and slippers, nice bathroom. The hotel is located in a narrow side street, but our taxi driver had...

After a regretful evening at the Baiyun hotel on top of Mount Huangshan, this hotel was a warm comfortable welcome. The quality and service you receive for the money you pay is more than satisfying. The staff was friendly, the rooms were gorgeous, the beds were big and comfortable, the views from the room were pretty, the restaurant on the...

“Requesting a non-smoking floor might not do much but probably worth asking for if it matters to you. If you are on a non-smoking floor and other guests are smoking, make sure your AC unit works. There aren't any views.”
