I had read in some books about the Hotel Altiplanico. The reviews were 50/50 yet our travel agency booked us there because they said that the other hotels were booked. We were there in their Summer (February 2012). Our experience was good in terms of the cleanliness of the hotel in general (cabins as well as lounge and restaurant; not...

We had a really nice stay at the Altiplanico. Beautiful relaxed setting, pool etc. Food was nice but not amazing but we didn't expect it to be amazing. If was really nice to be out of the town and, although you do have a short walk, it's good to be away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were very...

We stayed here three nights. The room was spacious and the bathroom clean , the shower cubicle itself was rather dark. Service was a little slow and meals quite pricey (especially if you paid in Chilean Pesos - there was a 19% discount if you paid in USD). The hotel is about 15 minute walk down a dirt track to the...

We stayed at the Altiplanico during the first week of February 2012. The hotel is located a little off the main pedestrian drag in San Pedro de Atacama. The main pros are the pool, included breakfast, helpful reception. The rooms were clean, with nice outdoor showers and water was filtered and drinkable. The negatives included the kitchen (the quality of...

we stayed here 4 nights last week at the end of our 4 weeks in So. Amer. Great ambiance, very helpful staff, good breakfast. this hotel was so helpful on suggested itineraries as we had rented a truck so we could go on our own. Only drawback but also a plus is that it is a little out of town...

We stayed here in Dec 2011, a very good hotel with plenty of hot water and nice amenities, very much appreciated after the basic places in the Bolivian salt flats. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times, since our day tours usually finished late. The food was good and service was pleasant. The location was what let it...

This hotel is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in Chile, but also in my top 10 hotels of the world. What a wonderful place, so calming, lots of quiet areas, just to sit and read a book, next to the gardens, listening to the huming of the bees, or on the sofas next to the...

The hotel is one of the nicest in Aticama. They have water, coffee, tea in the bar/lounge area. Fire pits are all over the property. It is a amazing to sit with a glass of wine at night and watch the stars. We haven't seen anything like the brightness of the stars here! There is a very nice pool area...

We came to San Pedro from Bolivia. Hotel Altiplanico is a very good place to spend 2 or 3 days to rest. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the ladies at the reception. A few rating report that it is expensive. Well, San Pedro is expensive. In Altiplanico you get something for you money.

The hotel has really nice adobe chalets/rooms, all integrated around the pool and gardens. Service and cuisine is very good, there is parking space for your car - rare thing in San Pedro - but is a bit away from the centre. Really good!
