If you are a discerning backpacker coming to terms with the cruel joke of the increase in prices as you cross from Bolivia, there is hope! With a high price portfolio on popular accommodation websites, we decided to take our chances on availability when we arrived in San Pedro de Atacama. When we knocked on the door at Tuyasco, we... Set around a sunny courtyard with many tables and chairs for chilling out. The bathrooms are functional and provide solar heated water 24 hours a day. The kitchen facilities are excellent, well stocked with equipment and fully working. The owner (older gentleman) was really helpful, he allowed us to store our bags after checkout and even return for a shower... More

We enjoyed three nights here. Sadly accommodation in San Pedro is pricey especially if you're coming from Bolivia and Peru. We picked this place for the included breakfast which was very disappointing sadly. Every morning was chaos and you were restricted to one bread roll each and a cup of tea or coffee. Not adequate for the price. However this... More

We stayed here 1 night, location is a little bit far to the center. Bathroom was cleaned with hot shower, breakfast was simple but good, WiFi in all rooms. The room was clean and service are friendly.

Our stay in San Pedro was great even thanks to the hostel we had. The staff was very attentive, kind, and always available when we had questions, doubts, or looking for suggestions. We slept here in two different occasions during our stay: the first time we had a corner room and it was very quiet. Anyway, nothing to tell about... More

This hostel is very close to the bus station, so if you can find it on a map ahead of time, it's easy to get to. It's also about a 10 minute walk from the "downtown" area, so there is no problem actually getting to restaurants or tour companies. The hostel itself is built around a little, pleasant courtyard, and... More

Room was ok, very basic but stayed cool which was important. The bathroom was a short walk away, sadly someone had blocked it up which wasn't pleasant! Breakfast very basic but ok, the location was decent as it was a little walk away from the busy town area. Probably better for an older traveller who wants a little peace and... More

The hostel is within 5 minute walking distance from the immigration checkpoint for SPA and Bolivia crossing. I came here from Bolivia and decided to book this hostel. The hostel is also close to the main bus terminal, but it is about 10 minute walk to SPA centre plaza, so hat and sunglass are necessary to avoid sunburn. I stayed... More

We had booked Tuyasto for 4 nights and ended up staying for an extra night at short notice after our bus to salta was cancelled because of snow (!!). The owners were so friendly and it was no problem to let us stay another night. Breakfast was quite plentiful- bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, juice, coffee/tea. The hostel is built in... More

The hostel is right around the corner from the bus station (less than 5 minutes walking) and about a 10 minute walk from downtown. It's quiet, in part because of the distance from the center of town but also likely because quiet hours start at 23hr. The rooms were a little chilly, but there was always plenty of hot water...
