After being turned off from Rural hostel just down the road, we stumbled across this beauty! The receptionist spoke very good English & was so nice & helpful throughout our stay. Constant hot water as well because they use solar (which I think is a rarity in this town) which is a big plus, cute little kitchen and the addition...

We were pleased that we found this place. Great location, good & clean facilities, common kitchen and a delightful little courtyard out of the wind. The rooms were a bit cold and dark, but just sit out in the sun in the courtyard. Wifi was only in the common area. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.

We had a private room which was nice and cosy and right by one of the shared bathrooms. Location is excellent and there's a nice courtyard to sit in the sun and use the wifi. A well priced option in over-priced San Pedro. Also a nice little kitchen if you want to cook.

Lovely place made of adobe, beautifully decorated and at a very competitive price. The room is pretty simple but very nice and the shared facilities are great. The common area outside is lovely and make it easy and natural to talk to people. Highly recommended.

Located just 5 mins from the plaza and 2 mins from Caracoles, a lovely warm and inviting hostel and fairly well priced (for SP standards anyway). Dorms for 4 people, with lockers were warm at night. Good WIFI and WIFI room although note WIFI only works in the common area. Hostel very in theme with the town. Very helpful staff, will...

Having emailed a few days before we had confirmation very quickly that we could stay in a private room. Great communication to book. Arrival and check in were easy (during the afternoon) the owner speaks English well. The location is very good as it's close to the Main Streets with most the travel agency's and restaurants. The hostel is well...

The hostel is very tidy and clean. The rooms have good beds and the bathrooms (we used a room with shared baths) were clean, as well. The light only works from 7 p.m., as it is solar/battery powered. Additionally, the hot water is solar-powered and the water buffer is empty by night; hence, a warm shower only can be done...

Hostal Soncheck is right in the center of San Pedro. The dorms are spacious, clean, have enough outlets and big enough lockers. There are super clean bathrooms with showers plus one without a shower so that you don't ever have to wait. There is 24hours hot water and the water pressure is alright. There's a 24-hour reception and the staff...

Too many youth hostels can feel a bit too crowded and geared towards weed smoking 18 year olds. Fortunately this one didnt feel like that. Nice double room with high thatched roof ceiling. And great courtyard which felt just about right in terms of space and wifi access and atmosphere.

Great location, very close to the plaza. Helpful staff. Lots of options for rooms - double, 2 twins, triple, quadruple. Secure. Pretty quiet, not very social, but that's ok. Friendly cats hang around the outside areas.
