The staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed us to check into our room at 5am. The rooms are clean, spacious and have little sections next to the bed for backpacks. The dorms are ensuite as well as extra toilets and showers down the hall. The wifi was a bit hit and miss but that is to be expected...

I was hesitant to book a room here because of so many bad budget options in Myanmar but Gypsy inn is possibly the best budget option in town. Located right on the water with great helpful staff Gypsy inn is a deal for any and all backpackers or budget travelers. The breakfast is Amazing! Quite possibly the best free hostel...

Learning from my lessons in Bagan and Mandalay, I decided to book my accommodation via booking.com prior to my trip to Inle Lake and Nyaung Shwe. Reading through the reviews at Tripadvisor, I decided to opt for Gypsy Inn. The bus from Bagan alighted me at the town entrance of Nyaung Shwe at about 5.30 am. It was freezing cold...

The staff are Friendly. The dormitory was excellent with AC, hot shower and privacy bed. Everything really clean. Good breakfast are included. Highly recommended! אחלה של תמורה למחיר. בעלים מאוד ידידותיים. ארוחת בוקר מפנקת. (תנסו גם את הנולדס) מומלץ מאוד!

Great hotel. Very cheap double room (in an older building of the hotel), about $15-20 for a double. It's right over the road and river so a little noisy in the morning but very quiet at night because everything shuts down around there early. Breakfast was very good too.

Great staff (they helped us with everything from laundry to boat tours), delicious breakfast (pancake, eggs, shan noodle soup, fruit), comfy double room with private ensuite and TV. Great value for money!

We arrived by boat and the guest house was just less than a 10-minute walk from the jetty. The market and main street is a mere 10-minute walk from the guest house. We stayed for 2 nights and unlike the guest houses located at the main street, we were spared noises from the vehicles. The only noise we heard were...

I really enjoyed my stay at Gypsy Inn, the dorms had great sturdy beds with curtains, a space for you bags, charging spots & individual lights. Yes the location is right on the canal which means it's noisy in the mornings but hey get some ear plugs if it bothers you! It means the balcony is great for watching the...

Pros: Gypsy Inn is located next to the channel connecting Nyaung Shwe with Lake Inle and close to local bars, shops, etc.; able to arrange transport and free lift to the bus stop; renting bikes. Cons: Small and smelly breakfast room; not very clean shared toilets and bathroom.
