Our experience at Inle lake villas was one of the best we have ever had starting with a superb warm welcome as we arrived by the lake. It had been preceded by a helpful exchange with the hotel GM prior to our visit which enabled us to optimise our planned stay. The rooms are large and comfortable with unexpected amenities... More

This place was truly fantastic! Inle Lake, in general, is a very interesting place to see - the Venice of Myanmar, and rowing into this resort was pretty incredible. It is an amazing place, with stunning sunsets, large and beautiful rooms, a relaxing pool and generally good food. Since you need a kayak to get in and out of the... More

Wonderfully designed, large and very comfortable villas. Huge, and hugely comfortable, bed. Our villa (perhaps all) had a deck overlooking the lake, which was lovely to use at sunset. The pool was barely used, well designed and comfortable to swim in. Unfortunately, the beauty of the architecture was contrasted by very disappointing food at dinner and again at breakfast and... We had a great time here after a very wet and stormy trek from Kalaw. A lovely place to rest and dry out! Rooms are lovely although more hooks and hanging space in the dressing area would be great. Also the mosquito nets are small so constantly getting gaps down the sides - if they made them half a metre... More

A fantastic hotel with unbelievable service charm and an unforgettable stay. We wish we had had more time hear and would go back in a heartbeat. The restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The traditional Myanmar massage is not for the faint hearted but a real treat.

Best arrived at by boat from one of the piers in town. Ornate private landing pier gives access to this beautiful resort consisting of wooden bungalows, ours was on stilts over the lake. Beatifully panelled interiors and a huge platformed bed (might be a problem for the less agile and elderly ). Huge; raised restaurant mostly empty at this time... More

The hotel itself is made up of nearly 30 ENORMOUS wooden villas with bathtubs as well as showers, private verandas (most overlooking the lake) and mosquito nets over the king sized beds which the staff put out for you during the turn down service. Access to the hotel can be by road or by boat, we would recommend the boat!... More

Wonderful room and service, the hotel is right on the lake where you can do day trips on a long boat. Great spa reasonably priced. Airport transport one way at USD115 is three times the actual cost outside the hotel. Novotel USD46 and outside car circa 40,000 local. Hotel wouldn't organise the cheaper options.

My partner and I stayed for three nights at this gorgeous, idyllically located and beautiful look hotel. It was very special to arrive by long boat into the hotel jetty and be met with a cool hand towel and drink. The extensive gardens are lovely and the bungalows so large, comfortable and beautifully appointed - ours with stunning lake views.... More

We spent a weekend here in a villa during the rainy season and it was absolutely perfect. The villas are luxurious and it is the perfect place to get romantic for the weekend, enjoy the storms coming across the lake and over the mountains, and dine on the balcony all morning with the breakfast served in the room. The spa... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Villa Inle Resort & Spa is the ideal choice for those seeking a unique experience, away from mass-market tourism. All villas are designed to harmoniously blend in with the natural environment. Featuring hand-selected local paintings and antiques, high wooden ceilings, and spacious living areas and bathrooms, they radiate a sensation of luxury and comfort. From your villa, you can watch as fishermen glide by on the lake,Buffaloes cooling themselves off in shallow water and flocks of migratory and native birds take off from the surrounding treetops. To enhance the sense of seclusion and privacy and also reduce our hotel impact on the environment, we have deliberately kept the number of rooms in the hotel to a minimum.
