Inle Lake was our favourite place in Myanmar, and the Princess Garden was a great place to stay. We had a bungalow in a tropical garden setting - very peaceful and relaxing on the edge of town. Nyaungshwe is a small place, so it's easy to walk everywhere. The hotel arranges pickup to and from the airport (which is a...

Small group of rooms and bungalows. Managed by the owner and her husband, in a very friendly way. Hot water in room is scarce, you cannot finish your shower as you would at home. No TV, no internet in the whole hotel. Prices are very convenient considering these lacks. They can rent you a bicycle and within a very short...

This is a really lovely place to stay in Nyuang Shwe. The rooms in the new wing is not as special as what we heard about the bungalows, but they are fine, with a small deck where you can sit and enjoy the coolness of the night. The breakfast is excellent, we loved the pancakes. It is possible to rent...

Inle is a magic place! But better stay in Nyaungswe for sleeping as you will have plenty of little restaurants and things to do. Princess garden has really cute little bungalows facing the mountain! The owner is really helping, the breakfast is really good, swimming pool is nice to relax. You won't find better place! and the rooms are only...

We stayed here for three nights. The room was lovely and the bathroom well appointed with a proper hot shower. I was very excited by the complimentary drinks that arrived when we got back each afternoon - a really nice touch. The location is not central but its a small town so easy to get anywhere. The pool is also...

The bungalow was quite lovely set amongst beautiful gardens. The breakfasts were good. I had a hard time with no fresh milk but then we were in Myanmar. The owner (the lady) was fabulous and so helpful. Her staff of girls and a boy were delightful. We had a ceiling light and two bedside lamps so no complaints at all....

A few days ago we arrived at the hotel a little earlier than expected. Since the room wasn't clean yet we sat at a table in the breakfast area. We got a plate of fruit and a tea for the wait. We decided to walk around and when we retourned we were shown to our room. The only thing one...

Please stay at Princess Garden Hotel. This is a great little hotel run by some of the most wonderful people you will meet, anywhere in the world. Why are they so wonderful? 1) Their personalities: they have that great Myanmar combination of being happy, engaging and brutally honest (e.g. they don't give recommendations flippantly, which we appreciated); Their sense of...

This place advertises itself as 'a little hotel with a big heart' and it’s true. It’s the combination of little things that make this place special; the local setting, the afternoon drink, the different pancakes at breakfast every day, the delightful and helpful staff, the refreshing swimming pool, the relaxed atmosphere and the good value price.

Pros: -exceptional breakfast (pancakes AND eggs AND toast AND fruit) on a terrace enjoying the sunrise - free welcome drink EVERY day! -Nice pool (decent size ~16m, cool (~18C), reasonably clean). -Nice garden -away from the main street -great staff (including the black dog, but excluding the 2 white dogs) -cosy bungalows with good beds -quiet (only natural sounds (roosters,...
