We needed to stay there for 2 days and it was such a weird experience for us. At the time, they have a hot air ballon festival and all hotels are fully booked and their hotel as well. First,we got a small room with very dirty looks bath room. and then I complained and they showed us a bigger room with nice shower room but the next day we knew that room aren't available hot water. Anyway, the staff are so kind and work hard. I appreciated their afford but we had to move another hotel in town.
The hotel located on the main road of Taunggyi. Staff are helpful especially receptionist. The rooms are basic, but comfortable enough. No air conditioner, for winter is ok. About 10 minute walk to Myoma Market.
On a week end to visit Inle Lake with friends, we agreed to book a budget hotel and choose to stay in Taunggy. The hotel was choosen and booked by my assistant. On the way to Taunggy, I had a look a the reviews and get worry with so many comments about cockroachs! We arrived litle bit late in the evening, tired after a long road trip. My first impression make me regret this choice as the hotel looked so basic. Staff was anyway friendly and check in fast. But after entering the room, i found it acceptable. Shower was more confortable than it look with pressure and very hot water. Cleanless of the room was ok. Bed comfortable. Satellite TV with international channel and pretty good internet for the country. It give them a not too bad impression for the first night. However, the 2nd night, when i enter my room back from the lake, I face a huge coackroch right in the middle of the room! It then unfortunately just confirm my worries based on the hotel reviews. The hotel management should then find a solution about these coackrochs as for the rest, based on the room rate, it is very acceptable for a budget hotel.…
The staff are very friend but under trained got shown to are room and there was dam on the walls and full of cockroaches. We got given bug spray to do it are selfs. So then we had sit in reception for 30mins for the spray to settle. In the end I got my sleeping bag out and zipped it up and put my mozzy net up and slept in the same position all night on cockroach watch
Without a doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I've travelled round the world. Although the reception was friendly and helpful at the start, once settled in after a meal in town the first cockroach showed its ugly head! Thinking it was a one off another 2 appeared within 5 minutes... I explained to reception what was happening and was given bug spray to sort it out myself! The room itself was dirty with a shower that trickled out water. I would not recommend anyone staying there..
