I went to Sao Paulo for business and stayed at Matsubara Hotel. The Hotel is really nice but the WiFi is terrible. I liked the buffet Breakfast and the look&feel of the Hotel. I totally recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for over a week: very helpful staff, rooms are clean and were big enough for me, bed is comfortable, check-in and check-out was straight forward, no problems. They serve western and japanese style breakfast, really liked the japanese one. Walking distance to small restaurants, convenience store and Shopping Paulista, don't know about Metro station since I didn't use...

Matsubara is close to Paraíso metro station and Av. 23 de Maio (good features for displacement in São Paulo) - it resembles a business hotel. There's a self-playing piano at the reception and a bar. The ambient is very welcoming and rather elegant (although the hotel also receives tourist families and couples). The breakfast is impeccable and the hotel offers...

I stayed 2 night, let's commnet about room condition and restuarant. It was not bad compare to another same class hotel in Sao paolo. But the location is poor to take public transportation. It takes 15 minutes to go to hotel from Paulista main street by car. Room was a little bit small, old but tidy and clean, and was...

Well, for starter I must say that I haven't payed full rates to stay at this hotel. For me it cost about R$ 250 per day. Their normal rates start at R$ 600 (US$ 350), and that was a relief, since this hotel isn't worth half of that. The location is quite good to be honest. There is a subway...

Lets start with the positives: The rooms and the sushi bar food is OK. Now let's move on to the rest. The restaurant is appalling. I don't know what they have done to the fruit juice at breakfast but it is pretty much undrinkable- I guess it's diluted or made from powder. The service in the restaurant is also very...

Definitely no value for the money. I stayed for 3 weeks and would rather not stay at this one again. Very disappointing. Positive: Sushi bar/restaurant - good service, good food, but one cannot live on sushi or Japanese food alone day in and day out. Free wi-fi, although connection is not stable (anywhere from 6Mbps to 65 Mbps, on any...

Stayed at hotel for conference. I think I was upgraded to the jr suite--a corner room with a sitting/desk area. Looks pretty much like the photos on the website. Clean. Bed was OK (foam mattress, ugly blanket and bedspread, 3 pillows--flat foam, lumpy foam, and feather) and I slept fine. Heavy curtains blocked all light (no shears so either open...

Very big rooms, large bed. Free internet in rooms and loby. Breakfast could be much better. Poor variety. Very small indoor swimming pool. Small ginasium out of order for more than one month. Located far from the center but near the wonderful city park 'Iburapuera'.

I booked another one for my stay, the "Formula 1", and just stayed there the first night. That one was horrible, and so tiny! The next morning we wonder around town, and close by we found this one. Amazing hotel and great rates! Really, it has sauna and pool on the upper floors, and we were not able to find...
