There is a hotel in São Paulo, Brazil which goes by the name Unique and, guess what ? It is actually far beyond what the name suggests. It’s amazing, mind blowing and yes. It is, indeed, unique. Shaped as a half watermelon or a half moon, its architect, of Japanese descent, Ruy Othake is the son of Brazil’s best known...

The first choice for architeture lovers, this hotel is a trip in itself. From the grand entrance to the very swank quarters, wonderful rooftop bar and restaurant and gorgeous bar on the first floor. Very chic and expensive.

Dear Chrys, Thank you for your recent visit to our hotel! We are happy to know you enjoyed our "unique" architecture, a jewel designed by Ruy Ohtake, a very talented Japanese/Brazilian architect. We hope you come back soon for a new visit! Kind regards, Melissa

One of my best hotel experiences. Everything is just top class, from the service to the location and food. I've been staying at a few hotels in Sao Paulo and this is definitely one that I will come back to. Works for both the single traveller, a couple or people traveling for business. Nothing to complain about really. Highly recommended!

The rooms are quirky and odd with not a lot of storage and certainly should offer a place for 2 suitcases for a couple without sacrificing the “cutting edge” design. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. The little desert treat at your bedside in the evening is a nice touch. I do find...

Stunning architectural masterpiece that is shaped like a boat. Loved the free French Champagne at reception when you check in. The device is impeccable on all levels. Sergio, the concierge is a wealth of information on what to do and where to go. The little treats they leave in the rooms every evening are divine, small shot glasses of lemon...

Located in the well-heeled residential area of Jardins in São Paulo, Hotel Unique is a must for savvy architecture fans and well-traveled urbanites alike. The spacey, green-weathered copper that adorns the facade stretches across the building's unusual shape, a massive inverted arch with circular windows like over-sized portholes. In guestrooms, unusual accessories from around the globe add to the ultra-cool...

One of the best place to see São Paulo city any time of the day. It's an amazing hotel. It's architeture is very modern and in each place you can have a special point to admire. The bar in the Rofftop is awesome and you can have a unforgetable time at Sampa city.

Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
