The best thing about it is its location, close to bars, restaurants, businesses and (relatively) close to a metro station. Spartan accomodations, but cheap, clean and safe; If you are in sampa for something else than staying in your hotel room, can be a good choice.

I stayed at Bela Cintra for a month during a short internship in Sao Paulo. Having heard so much about the city's problems beforehand it was reassuring to find the flat in such a safe and relatively pleasant area. It's within a five minutes walk of plenty of cafes, restaurants, laundrettes (albeit expensive ones) and shops. 10-15 minutes further afield...

We were happy with it's location, walk to restaurants and the metro and it was clean but not much else positive to say I am afraid, I wouldn't be recommending it to anyone. It was incredibly hot and there wasn't any air con, only a fan that was positioned at the end of the bed - so basically useless. The...

We stayed at Bela Cintra Flat Service for 6 nights. The location is not bad, but we had troubles finding the hotel, as it is a very long street. Bars, restaurants, nightlife, shopping are within walking distance in a safe area. The equipment of the apartment was very basic: 3 beds, but only 2 chairs! No sofa, no other place...

We spent 3 nights in São Paulo, capital. This is the largest city in South America. The city is not to live, in my opinion, but certainly to visit. The subway and train system takes you to any place in the city. Well, we have chosen Bela Cintra as this was our best price on a noble region, which is...

Staying in Consolacao

Neighbourhood Profile
Consolacao
Consolação lies between the old historical centre of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighbourhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.
