I traveled throughout South America and found that Rio de Janeiro was one of the most expensive cities to visit. Considering that, I stayed at Brazuca's Hostel for one week to see Rio de Janeiro and had a wonderful experience! The hostel is of great value for money and the staff were incredibly helpful during my stay, organizing all kinds...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.

“The traffic is quite heavy outside so stay away from the windows if you are not a heavy sleeper. We were there in the winter in june so it was not that hot but i still had to open a window cause remember that there is 23 other people sleeping there (when its fully rented out) so it will get warm because of that too. They have AC so not to worry. I slept in the corner close to the window and it felt good to be able to open the window at night when it got hot inside. The AC is´nt always turned on.”
