Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Objectively speaking, I would only stay here if there were absolutely no other options. I stayed for 1 night and cancelled the rest of my reservation, and here’s why: 1. Questionable hygiene and sanitary standards. By that, I mean the place was a mess. Did not have the courage to shower in my room. Holes in the wall, mold… 2. Wifi simply does not work. 3. The gym is not functional, no air conditioning, broken equipment. 4. The staff were very slow, and rude to some guests. Additionally, was unable to provide clear and relevant information. 5. I did not receive the room I paid for. 6. If you have any food restrictions, yeah, your on your own. 7. There is nothing (literally) near the hotel, it’s situated in the middle of a large avenue. Far from the beach, far from popular attractions, far from existence itself. 8. Rooftop had potential, but like everything else, failed to deliver. Horrible music blasting your ears at 9am, and there was 1, just one, sun deck chair. But hey, this was just my experience; and the hotel was loaded.

Never again. Everything was wrong with this Hotel starting with personnel, very slow and not helpful. When we arrived it took us quite a while to get our keys and when finally we got it , they gave us the wrong room. After complaining that was not the room I've booked, they changed us to a supposed " executive" which had nothing to deserve the title : Sink blocked, cold water not running from the tap and shower, desk loose, volt broken, plugs next to the bed broken Also no information of the hotel available in the room (like phone numbers and breakfast times) .The personel (apart from the maintenance guys) was very unfriendly. The Breakfast was a mess, always missing clean cups and glasses. The tables piling up with dirty that was not collected. The corridors that led to the bedrooms were very dirty ( see photos) so was the floor in the bedroom. The hotel was far from everything (beach, shopping centres, etc). Everywhere we went we had to call a taxi. The swimming pool had nobody to give us towels and there was a bar but nobody there that we could order something to drink. Not enough parasols and chairs. I just hope for other guest that they don't go through all the problem we had , and my advice is Do not stay there. Rio has many good Hotels where you can relax and have a beautiful holiday.

Disappointing. Upon arrival, there was only one employee at the front desk. It took 50 minutes to get a room. Noisy room as the balcony windows are not soundproof and noise from traffic outside is intense. Unpleasant odor all over the lobby area. Hall and room floor dirty.

Absolutely zero professionalism from staff. Reception workers take 7 hours to get one simple task done and allow other guests to cut the line mid service. Toilet stopped working a few into my stay and phone was broken from the get go. Took 2 hours for room service to arrive. They simply don’t care. I’ve never stayed somewhere with worst service. Awful experience - DO NOT STAY HERE.

DO NOT STAY THERE! IS A TRAP!I booked from sept 7th to 10th , but when me and my wife arrived the first thing that we saw was that the photos from the propaganda didn't match, the place was filthy, starting with the elevator and hallways, but the worst was that we found a used condom in our room, more specifically on the sheets. We asked for another room and they put us in other filthy room. Next morning the breakfeast didn't respect any of covid distance rules. Than..we only asked to leave the hotel and pay for just one night. Without any kind of professionalism, until now they don't respond any of my calls or tell that the manager isn't there to refund money for a service I didn't use. I am from Brazil and a write in englsih because I know the tourists will see this and won't be cheated as I was.

Hotel located near the busy road. Rooms on the side of the road are very loud and if you like quiet rooms better to take the room on the other side - not a see view. At the reception I've been welcomed by receptionist - Thaisa - which speek English very well. She is a very helpful person and understands guests needs, I could always count for her help. Services in this hotel are realy nice, room service very friendly and is most of the time on time with delivery. Rooms are clean and cosy with own air condition which works fine. On top of the hotel.there is a very nice recreation area with swimming pool, gym, bar and sun beds, clean towels are provided also. If you want to have a little relax or do some training this is the place. Food in here is really tasty and portions are big, breakfast starts at 6 which is great for early birds. Near by you can find a small ships and restaurants where you can eat a good dinner in the nice place. Enjoy!

My wife and I stayed in a Master Suite on the 12th floor (just below the rooftop), comfy king-size bed, decent sized room, but the compliments stop right there! Everything else lacked quality, attention or more importantly lacked training! Sound isolation extremely poor, as even being on the top floor, one could easily hear the noise of the cars passing. From A-Z the service as a whole is absolutely horrendous, we've asked twice for service and had to call reception twice every time because it was taking forever to get some sort of attention. One of the nights they have completely overbooked their garage, thus people could not move their cars in there, breakfast experience was one to forget... the hotel does not have a control on the dress code (!) at their restaurant, women in mini bikini tops and men without shirts (completely bare chest), the manager saw that happening and did absolutely nothing. The hotel desperately needs intensive training from top to bottom in customer service. The hotel would probably do much better if managed by an international and reputable hotel chain.

The hotel took ages before we got our keys, the line at the front desk was so long and the front desk are so slow. The kitchen is ok, the room spacious but it feels like we are in a deserted area. Will take you 1 hour to go to Ipanema and Copa Cabana. The Barra Beach is not busy at all. The kitchen staff are courteous. The swimming pool is ok but the steam room is a mix between men and women, no privacy at all.

Slightly out of the way hotel, but was only stopping over for one night, before flying offshore. East check in, and rooms were quite nice. Breakfast the following morning was plentiful. Not sure on the location as did not have time to look around.
