I had a minor medical issue this time around and Chiara at reception was just superb - world class employee ( and I have stayed in the worlds best hotels - I know my way around hotels ) . She’s exactly what you expect and much much more . Fantastic employee . Empathetic, confident efficient and professional . This is a great hotel in a lovely part of Barra da Tijuica . Great facilities , superb staff . Home from home. This will always be my base in Rio from now on .

Ibis Barra De Tijuca is a really good hotel. Friendly staff, nice rooms, good customer service and a good buffet breakfast. There is strong wifi and the hotel is close to a few restaurants and shops as well.

Not much to say, good hotel, breakfast is fine, service was good, room was clean. The staff speak English.Not much around the hotel and a fifteen minute walk to the subway. It is on the beach, excellent for an early morning walk.

Like all Ibis Hotels, this one has a good price and its roons are confortable, but quite noisy. The location is good, because you can walk for 10 minutes and get to famous avenue Olegário Maciel, where there are a lot of restaurants, pubs, etc.
