If you are a beach lover the location is perfect since it is on tre beach. We cannot recommend it for long stays since it's quite old and not very well maintained, but if you enjoy a night walk by the beach it does the job.

The hotel is on a good location, but it is apparently too old. The bed was good, but in a room for two there was only one powerplug in the far-most corner. In the bathroom several items (like the keeper for toilet paper) were not completely fixed, as was the safe. There is a free wifi, but sometimes it has to be re-installed at the reception. And from your bed you cann't fire a lamp and there are no reading-lights near the bed. The personnel was very friendly and helpfull. At night there was a lot of traffic noise from the boulevard. For the quality the price is not more than reasonable.

The rooms are not great but the location is excellent and the swimming pool very pleasant There are restaurants nearby and it's in front of the beach They also organize good tourists tours of 8 hours, including lunch Although far from Ipanema and Leblon it is located at a less violent area

Old and it is not well mantained. Like lots of hotels in Rio, they charge too much because of the location (really great) but do not that care of the rest. Breakfast is ok, but everything else is old.

The room was small, bathroom even smaller but the view was of the ocean and a wonderful breeze. Slept with 4th floor patio doors open. The staff was very helpful, spoke English, breakfast was simple but adequate. Public transportation (bus)stopped right out front. Beach was across the street which was clean. Would stay there again.

Stayed in a suite and the room was big and comfortable and well maintained. Wifi is quick, breakfast is also good, although the juice is very watered down. The major downside is poor service. One of the staff seemed to be preoccupied with her phone all the time and was not enthusiastic or helpful at all. Another one seemed to have issues with math during checkout and I would constantly need to double check the numbers. The final staff member I dealt with was excellent so I would always try to wait to find him before asking for any help. Location wise, the hotel itself is right by the beach, but because its in Barra, it is a bit more difficult to get around to other shops, food, and the rest of Rio.

Right in front of a cleaned beach with with and soft sand, breakfast fair, rate is fair, free internet access, wide rooms. Simple rooms but well maintained. The unique problem is if you like to do shopping nothing walk distance, only by car or taxi. I was there few times... I do recomend.

Cheiro de mofo, parede descascando (estufada) no hall dos elevadores, formigas do banheiro até na cabeceira da cama, areia no quarto (do hóspede anterior), ar condicionado em cima da cama (vento direto e baruho). Iluminação deficiente no quarto. Para coroar, pedi um beirute de file e quando fechei a porta na saída do serviço de quarto, eis que vejo uma lagarta de uns 3 centimetros atravessando calmamente o beirute e as batatas. ENGLISH: Mould, paint falling apart on the elevator hall, ants from the restroom to the bed, sand on the floor (from the previous guest) - not a clean hotel - AC unit above the bed with direct wind and lots of noise. Bad lightining in the the room. To top that, I asked for a pita bread sandwich and got it with a cartepillar calmily walking over it.

Excellent location, right on the beach with miles and miles of beatiful white sand and somewhat dangerous waves. Back to the hotel, my room had a balcony with front view to the beach and although located in one smokers floor (why does it still remains?) there was no smoking smell that I had noticed. There's a flat TV, fridge, microwave, a/c, shower (no tube), free wi-fi internet (ask for login/password at the reception desk. It's a different one for each gadget) at the room. Pool and good breakfast with assorted fruits, ham, breads, cakes, yogurts, artificial juices do the rest. Other kind of eggs that are not scrambled should be paid apart. Bad things: small fitness (if i can say that) room, lousy cleaning room service and very thin walls. You should pray for quiet neighbours or you'll have trouble to get to sleep. The glass door from the balcony doesn't help to stop the night traffic noise also.

On the beach is a plus, but the location in Rio is just okay. Staff is good and breakfast is fine. The rooms are a little small. We had small ant-like bugs in our room, and we were not on the first floor! The air conditioner was over our heads as well. A big shopping mall is not too far from the hotel and there are a couple of nice restaurants that are in walking distance. Overall I would give this hotel a 2.5 out of 5. Location 3.0, Staff 4.5, Rooms 2 out of 5.
