Nothing special about this hotel, but also nothing to complain about. The rooms are garish but large and comfortable. Even though the room itself was garish and in need of redecorating the washroom was modern, large, and the shower itself was huge! The WiFi was...More
I stayed here at the end of an Intrepid Trip through South America. I added 4 extra nights at the Rio Roiss and was satisfied with my stay. The location cannot be beat- a block away from Copacabana Beach, but near the south end so...More

The hotel staff is great and very helpful. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean, if slightly dated. Breakfast is fabulous, and the view of Copacabana beach from the top-floor breakfast room is even better. Great location, reasonable prices--I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
