Clean and affordable. Friendly staff. Location wise, it is about 10 mins walking distance to restaurants and bus stop. It is lacking in facilities such as pool and gym but I have no complaints as it is a pousada and not a hotel.

Horrible experiance. I booked the suite with private pool. It Looked Nothing like the pictures, it was all old and horrible. When i Told the receptionist that i wanted a return he lied about it was annulated. I contacted agoda and They confirmed it. After that he pushed me out of the building without letting me confirm that the money was returens. This was in two weeks ago, and i still try to get My money back (104 dollar) Unrespectful thief in the reception, he did not understand neither Spanish or english. If you expect a Fresh room that is a bit up to date, look for another hotel

This hotel/ hostel left us with a fantastic feeling about Rio! We had heard so much about criminality when we arrived in Rio with a cruise ship, but here we encountered friendly staff, a beautiful, lush garden, calm atmosphere and want to return in the near future! A small hotel, well cared for and with happy, helpful staff. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity and ( although you need to be fit!) lots to explore in St Teresa.

Major disappointment that this hotel has astro-turfed over its pool. Why they have not updated their brochures or web site is anyone's guess! Nice breakfast and friendly staff even if they don't no anything about local attractions or getting to them. Better to stay in Ipanema in my opinion.

Arrived as part of large group. All rooms very clean. Staff friendly and welcoming. There is no longer a pool here! It has been covered over with artificial grass! We were not happy about this. Enjoyed the breakfast. The location is a taxi ride from the beaches. It takes about 20mins.

The place is amazing and have a great view. But, the pool was closed, the gym equip (bike and treadmill) are jammed, the paint are old, breakfast was poor. PS: I have no difficulties to call an uber to there.

This hotel is incredible. The rooms were very clean, the staff very attentive. The breakfast was simple but nice. The pool and jacuzzi are great benefits, and the views are simply stunning. We absolutely loved our stay there. It's a bit hard to get to, as you have to go up quite a few steep hills - but we didn't have any issues with taking taxis (only used ubers) and they drove us all the way up. Nice selection of restaurants in the area and a lot of street art around. The wi-fi worked well in the room. No problems walking around in the area.

The rooms are small. It's a kind of a hostel/guest house. So, the corridors can get noisy at any time of the day. The owners could take care of some details, such as head tables near the beds. The curtains in the room where we stayed let the sunlight in early in the morning. Tables and chairs at the breakfast area could be more confortable. 눇The location, at the picturesque neighborhood of Santa Teresa, near bars, restaurants and public transportation to downtown or Lapa; the view. The swimming pool and leisure area looked good (but I never tried them).

We enjoyed our stay at Sant' Martre Hostel and Suites. It was a very clean hotel but a little far from the beaches. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and view were amazing. The neighborhood was very charming.

Stayed in one of the hostel rooms during the Carnaval week. Excellent location with easy access to public transport and the heart of the city. Has a good deal of local eating and drinking joints. Highly recommend.
