Stayed here for 2 nights myself and 2 children we had a fantastic room 903 which had a balcony with a view of the beach. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The wifi in the room was excellent and definitely kept the children happy. The breakfast was great with a huge selection fruit, bread ham, cheeses, hot...

10 of us from England stayed here for 10 nights celebrating the meeting of two families, one English one Brazilian. We all five couples had free upgrades which was very welcome, especially after the long flight over. The staff were always friendly and welcoming. The rooms always clean with bedding and towels changed regularly. One criticism, and I think this...

I just completed another 4-day visit at my beloved "hangout" in Rio de Janeiro. It just keeps getting better all the time. The staff remembered me and was glad to see me. I had a great room and wonderful service. The breakfast was spectacular. Most important, in a city with a high crime rate, the security is excellent.

The nicest staff for a great hotel, if you have the good room. I tried several and the third one was superb, huge with a view on the beach and a little balcony. It was number 703, so I guess all the rooms with a number "3" are sharing this same view. Many wonderful services at the hotel, including free...

Pros: Good location - Leme (safe) - near the beach. Rooms comfortable (small if you choose the lowest rate). Good breakfast. Very clean. Personal very friendly. Cons: Windows with single glasses - all outside noise comes in. Rooms reveal some age; must be renewed briefly. I have stayed there several times and I will return.

We spent 4 nights here and we're most days disappointed by the staff support (except for the doorman - who was always pleasant and helpful). Breakfast was well below average and room quite noisy. It's only positive is its location - a 5 minute or less walk to Copacabana Beach. We had no issues but we're constantly being warned (even...

Hotel was nice and staff were helpful. The rooms were a bit tired and we could hear every movement in the corridors, including the maids who started work at around 5am every day. Location is great to access copacabana beach and strip. Overall, good value for the money we paid

Stayed in room 809 which was more than adequate for a 3 night stay. We had a small balcony overlooking a generally quiet street - though we were here when Carnaval was on, so it wasn't the case - noise echoed. We had good TV stations and watched a few movies. The bathroom was a bit small and we asked...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
